I trotted down the lonely corridor, making sure I was not to be late. The thump, thump, thump of my footsteps echoed down the silent passage way. The normal hustle and bustle of students chatting and walking to classes, was gone, and moonlight shined in through the open windows.
It was 10 o'clock, and I was headed for a meeting with the principle of Marren's Eve University. I did not know what principle Eve, wanted to speak to me about, but I could only guess that it was something deadly serious for her to request to see me at this time. I was currently completing a detailed scientific device that may allow scientists to identity another planet with the same characteristics as earths. No doubt this will be a massive scientific breakthrough, something totally unthinkable could happen. Yet I had told no one about my plans for this, not even my twin sister, so I wondered what this urgent meeting could be about.
A chill ran down my spine, and I felt as if I was being watched. I quickened my pace and abruptly stopped to knock on the principals office door.
A hand grabbed hold of my shoulder, and suddenly I was being hauled backward. I stumbled and screamed, breathless. I struggled against my captors firm grip and prayed for my life. I was pressed down to the floor and kicked. What had I ever done to anyone? Crying I desperately screamed for my sister. My vision was starting to turn black at the edges. I couldn't breathe. I started to drift between conciseness, and then everything went black. I took my last breath.
I could only hope that someone would find my plans, and the revelations I hoped it would caused would happen, and someone would benefit from this even if I couldn't.
