It was those four words that turned Draco's blood to the temperature of ice and his body to the frigidity of stone. The deviousness in the smirk that changed his entire mood as his fingers froze in Harry's hair the instant he uttered the words.

"I always run away..." Draco whispered, more to himself than to Harry, as he pushed himself up and off the other boy, "...it's easier that way." He finished, so quietly that he wasn't even sure if Harry had heard the end of his statement.

But, at this particular moment, Draco didn't care. Whether or not Harry had meant for those four words to cut him in such a way or not, they did. That was just a fact where Draco Malfoy was concerned. There was only one person that could break through his thick exterior and interior, for that matter,--only one person that could break him--and that one person was Harry Potter. His Achilles Heel.

His stupid Kryptonite. He was the one person, the one person...

Just that thought, alone, scared the shit out of Draco. He had known this since that day Harry had refused to shake his head; however, he never would admit it to himself. But, he wanted that moment. That moment just seconds ago when his body wanted to ravish every inch of the boy beneath him.

Before the words that threw him were spoken.
Before he realized that he was broken.
Before he realized that he was not hiding anything from anyone.

Draco wasn't sure what made him turn around, but when he did; his heart plummeted to his feet. He was alone. Harry was gone and he had also left behind the green sweatshirt. Draco's green sweatshirt. The sweatshirt he wanted to keep.

Without even thinking, Draco's feet led him to the spot that they had just occupied. When he fell to the ground, his knees hitting first, he instantly slid his sweatshirt back over his head, breathing in the intoxicating scent of Harry Potter, before curling up into a ball on the Quidditch Field and letting the tears overtake him.
