We Without Wings

Starting a Flock

     On my way to Florida I saw a guy who was, get this... Flying! Like with wings! So of course i'm going to check it out. How on earth have I just noticed another person like me, I mean maybe because I only pay attention to staying alive. I fly down as quietly as I can and I watch him to be sure he is legit.I study the figure and see he has dark brown wings with white edges, bleach blond hair, dirty faded jeans, a baby-blue shirt with... an led's clam mark on it, and sneakers. He looked to be kind of handsome, like super model handsome.

"So, you into following people?" Was called from what I suspected was the dashing figure. I guess he heard me. Well now's better than any to come out so... out I went.

"Uh, yo." 

"Are you another one of ... them?"

     I knew what he meant by that and why would he think that, I mean the led looked human but really... more like super models... oh I get it now.

"Is that supposed to be a compliment?" saying it as sarcastically as I could, it added to the sting of it. But honestly I kind of liked it and talking to him felt good, like call me crazy, like I already knew him... weird right.

"Why? Did you like being called pretty?" Then of course he had to flash this gorgeous smile that could stop a war, almost making me blush, but I hid it. Didn't want to get too friendly ... yet.

"Couldn't you tell by my tone? Or are you that hot-idiot type?" Crap why did I say that, I mentally face-palmed myself.

"Hmm, so you think I'm hot, huh? By the way I'm Carson." Flashing that gorgeous grin, but this time I did blush. Maybe I should have kept flying. But he could help me. But he was so flirting, I hope I could get used to this. I snapped out my wings.

"If you're coming with me, you better be ready for lots of flying, and fighting." He smiled at me and again I blushed, it's like his smile was magic.

     But aside form that, he slowly slipped out his wings. So he was sticking with me... great, but it was someone to talk to. So we continued flying till we heard a very audible, blood curling scream. I looked below to see what or who made that scream. Then I see a girl, and a bunch of leds surrounding her. Where were they all coming from!?!? From what I could tell we wouldn't be able to get to her in time. But I was willing to try, so I sped as fast as I could and started charging a light ball, noticing Carson eyeballing it. But even if we flew at full speed we were not going to make it... all the sudden we see a guy run out and he seems to be bending; air, fire, earth, and water, like my light thing. But anyways he runs out screaming and throwing fire, earth, and water.

     By the time we got down there led were gone and there was blood on the ground. I went over and looked at the girl.

"Do you know her?" I asked sympathy in my eyes.

     He looked at her wincing at the sight of her, and I guessed her knew her too well. I nodded knowing what her meant.

"Can you tell, me yours... and her name?" I said nodding to the boy and the injured girl.

"I'm... Izequal and her name Jakalin,  but call her Jay." I giggled, I knew someone with a name similar to Izequal's.

"Can I call you Z?" He nodded still a bit shocked from what happened. So I used my light powers to heal her, which definitely comes in handy with leds hunting you down. I completely forgot about Carson.

"And since were getting introduced, what's your name?" He gave me a look that could melt rocks.

"Danyella, call Dany." I gave him a smile that I hoped would have the same effect as his, I think it worked. Z noticed us and smiled, maybe he thought we were like together ... hmm. I saw how he looked at Jay and I knew he had feelings for her. I patted his shoulder.

"It'll be okay, and do you have other power other that the avatar stuff?" He stood up and unfurled his grey and white wings, which were beautiful.

     Then Jay started to wake up. After she got her bearing and we talked and she showed her water bending and golden- brown, white wings. And they both agreed to stick with us. We also found out about the offices of world leaders, the place where they came from, and that Carson is an earth bender. We all decided on staying thee night in the trees where we were and continue in the morning.

~Time skip~ 

     I woke up the next morning, with the sun just peaking out from the horizon. I was just so used to waking up so early, by myself. But remembering a had a 'crew' or whatever, I decided that I would be nice and get food for us. On my way I found a boy in the dumpster I was going to go in.

"So how long are you going to be here, and how long you gonna take?" He bolted up right up and looked as pale as a ghost.

"Are you... one of them?" What did he mean by one of them? Wait did he have powers of wings, I was doing this on a hunch, a risky hunch but...

"No, you can trust me." I whipped out my wings and in return I got to see his red-brown wings, That I have to admit were really awesome. He looked to be a year or two younger than me with spiked blond hair and green eyes. 

"What's you mane kid?"

"Hey, I'm 14 and it's Derick, but everyone calls me Blaze because of this..." All the sudden his hands burst out with flames, a fire bender just what we were missing. Now all we need is an air bender and we'll have everyone we need.

"Ha want to stick with us?"

"Us?"

So I introduced everyone to Der... Blaze and he fit right in and we all got some food and then we were off. And what a surprise we find another winged girl same age as Blaze named Lyric, and they hit it off immediately well of course he rescued her from the led with his fire bending. She was the one who kind of pulled us all together and... get this, she was an air bender.
