One With Nature

A New Start

                                    I was still travelling when night came. I decided I should stop for a bit and rest, when I finally stopped I realized how sore my feet were from traveling. I looked Inside my bag for a map that I had to see the next village I would see. When I opened the scroll I found out that I was in the Land Of Fire and that the next village would be Konohagakure also known as the village of the leaves. 'Isn't that the village with a bunch of softies' I mused in my head. Oh well nothing to do with it I walked around and found a lake. I smirked great now I could finally bathe. I took of clothes and made a couple hand signs. My hands suddenly glowed with yellow rays of light. I collected some of the sun's nature energy and used it to make the lake warmer. I stepped in and started to get the sand at the bottom of the river and scrub myself with it, when you're in the wilderness for years you learn to pick up some tips. When I was done washing myself I got dressed into my spare pajamas.

                         After that I laid down on my old blanket and wrapped myself in my fluffy cloak to keep me warmer. I drifted off peacefully but that didn't last for long because I was woken up to the sounds of twigs snapping. My eyes shot up and I shut up to the trees for cover and hid my chakra. When I saw the person that made the noise my eyes widened in shock. The people were Kakashi Hatake and Asuma Sarutobi both were prominently stated in the bingo book and I decided that hiding myself would be suspicious so I jumped out of the tree with my hands raised in mock surrender. They both narrowed their eyes at me. Asuma was the one that spoke up first "Please state your name" I looked at them  and kept my face blank I was serious at this time "My name is Mieko Kobayashi I am sorry for trespassing on Konoha grounds but I would like an audience with your current hokage please." They looked surprised that I would ask this but Kakashi said " if we take you to the hokage you have to wear these chakra cuffs" I nodded in agreement it was a reasonable request and let them put the cuffs on me.

I looked at my camp and got all my scrolls and sealed them the I got my cloak and put it on a bit embarrassed that they saw my hair. Then we started on foot to Konoha on the way there they asked me a few questions which I answered to the best of my abilities. In a short amount of time, we were by the gates and my eyes widened in awe at the huge village. When we got inside I almost squealed at the warm atmosphere. It was truly amazing soon we were in front of the building where the hokage resided. We walked inside and in front of the hokage who was smoking the hokage looked at Asuma and Kakashi " Asuma and Kakashi who is this that you brought to me?" he asked they both bowed and Kakashi said, "Lord Hokage this young girl requested a meeting with you." He looked at me and I took off the hood of my cloak to show respect.

              "Lord Hokage it is an honor to meet you I wanted to ask you if I could stay in your village and become a ninja," I said the hokage sat there thinking for a second he probably thought I was a spy. He looked at me in thought "there is three conditions you have to live with Kakashi so he can supervise you"- "WHAT LORD HOKAGE" the hokage was cut off by Kakashi who was usually calm and collected loose his cool and Asuma who guffawed at Kakashi's face. The Hokage's eye twitched "you found her you can take responsibility" he said as Kakashi hung his head and let out a mushroom sigh. " As I was saying before I was rudely cut off the second condition is that you will have to have a team of four other people if you pass the exams and the third is that you have to take a written test and perform a few Jutsu before becoming a genin" I listened intently and obeyed these conditions.

           When he was done explaining I jumped in joy and squealed before jumping at the hokage to hug him and kissed his cheek "thanks, gramps" I kissed his cheek before running out of his office cheering. Leaving Gramps blushing and surprised. He sighed and told Kakashi to "go watch that child" Kakashi nodded and poofed away Kakashi caught up with me and told me "slow down' at that command I slowed down and turned to him with a grin on my face. "I will show you around the village" I nodded and he went on a tour with him but before I went I put the hood back over my face.

             One of our last stops was the academy we walked in the front doors of the academy and Kakashi took me to a class that I was gonna be in. He knocked at the door and out came a man with a scar on his nose. Kakashi started to inform him of our situation. " Iruka this is Mieko she will be starting in your class tomorrow" I took off my hood and shook his hand " It's nice to meet you Iruka-Sensei" He shook my hand also "likewise he stated" then Kakashi said "well I just wanted to let you know' and then we walked off towards Kakashi's house and as I looked at it I smiled brightly. I was really liking this village and I was ready to protect my new home even if it meant risking my life.
