"Get up, Ash!" Brittney shouted. I rolled over and groaned. I opened my eyes only to feel a major headache. Sunlight streamed in through the cracked window and I let out a cry. "Now. Hurry up and take a shower. It's ten fifteen and you have to be at work in thirty minutes."
Shit. Work. I forgot. I stretched out my arms and hit something. I looked over. Smirnoff vodka. I sat up, cradling it like a child. I looked over to see Brittney cleaning up her bedroom. "Did I fall asleep with this?"
"Yeah, I tried to take it away from you last night and you held onto it and said 'mine' so I just let you have it," Brittney shrugged.
I laughed at hearing of last night. Slowly I stood up, let out a yawn, and made my way to the shower. As the hot water ran over my skin I began to think about what happened. I danced, drank a little apparently, and Chris. He kissed me because I told him yes. That's all that happened, though. We kissed. That was it.
I didn't even really like him all that much, so why did I let him do it? Maybe it was a spur of the moment thing, or maybe I just didn't have any reason at all. I just did.

I walked into work, and clocked in at the computer by the door.
"Hey Ashley," Andrew said as he walked by.
"Hey Drew," I called.
I headed over to the hostess stand. My glorious silverware awaited me, shining and silver. Fun way to start the day, right? I sat down and began folding, desperate to be done already. I prayed to God it wouldn't be awkward around Chris. I looked up to see him wiping off one of the tables outside.
"Good mornin' sunshine," Jake sang, walking to the bar.
"Good morning," I responded low and dully.
I still didn't feel fully awake yet. My head felt cloudy and my stomach growled. No breakfast for Ashley. I could always order food later anyway. Whatever.
"Ashley, flip the sign to open please," Mark, our manager said.
"Aye, Captain," I muttered and flipped the sign.
"What's with the attitude?" Chris asked with a smirk. "Did somebody party too hard last night?"
"I don't party, I don't know what you're talking about," I grimaced, but was happy he didn't act any differently than a normal day at work when we hadn't made out the night before.
"What? Ashley doesn't party?" Andrew asked grinning.
"No I told you guys she plays Barbies," Jake said.
I turned around and gave him a death stare.
"Oh Mami isn't playing nice today," Jake said, backing away.
"She's grouchy this morning huh," Chris said. " I wonder why."
I held in the urge to scream and silently folded silverware and waited for them to walk away.

"So, I'm quite curious," Drew said, sitting down next to me. I looked at him, waiting for him to continue. "Do you really not party?"
"What do you think?" I asked.
"I think you're really sneaky and you do a bunch of crazy stuff and then act like you're a good girl," he watched me closely.
I leaned forward, surprised how right he was. "Hmm, not too far from the truth."
"I'm a pretty good people reader," he winked and I laughed.
