Me Too

Note: Just some random craziness I wrote haha XD Much more lighthearted than some of my previous one shots XD

It was night at the Atlanta Midtown Hospital. Doctor Victor Cannerts was working late, still trying to cure this virus outbreak when the haunting sound of a Meghan Trainor song filtered through his door. He looked up in confusion, his pen hovering over a stack of papers. He set the pen down and slowly got up from his chair, walking over to the door. He hesitated a moment before finally opening it. What he saw before him shocked him to his core. Skating down the empty hospital halls was what looked to be Officer Jake Riley and his friend, Rita Greenwood, in...onesies.

"Who's that sexy thing I see over there?" Rita sang out as she whizzed by, a pair of oversized clown glasses set upon her nose.

"That's me! Standin' in the mirror," Jake continued, singing along with her as he rolled by after her.

He wore the same over-sized glasses as she did and both of them were wearing dinosaur onesies. Dr. Cannerts looked at the two of them, brows furrowed.

"What is going on here?!" he demanded, crossing his arms.

"I thank God every day. That I woke up feelin' this way!" Rita sang, almost knocking down Cannerts in the process.

"And I can't help lovin' myself! And I don't need nobody else, nuh uh!" Jake sang out, pulling down his giant shades and placing a hand on his hip.

"If I was you, I'd wanna date Jake too! I'd wanna date Jake too, I'd wanna date Jake too!" Rita ended with a peace sign before repeating it again.

Finally, he couldn't hold it any longer and busted out laughing. Rita laughed along with him while Cannerts looked on in anger.

"Look, you two, I have a hospital to run here! And you're not helping this outbreak situation by blasting Meghan Trainor songs!" he huffed, waving his hands dramatically.

Rita stuck her tongue out at him, "I walk in like a dime piece, I go straight to V.I.P. I never pay for my drinks, my entourage behind me..."

"My life's a movie, Tom Cruise, so bless me, baby, achoo," Jake snickered, slinging his arm over her shoulder.

"And even if they tried to," Rita pointed at Jake.

"They can't do it like I do!" Jake shrugged, wiggling his eyebrows.

With that, they started singing the chorus once more, skating through the hallways. Jake pulled his dinosaur onesie hood over his short brown hair. As they laughed and sang, Rita started doing the Nae-Nae, Jake joining in.

"You might as well join us, Cannerts. We're not going to stop, you know!" Jake called to him.

Cannerts sighed deeply, rolling his eyes upward in defeat.

"Oh, well." he said, walking over to them.

"If I was Cannerts, I'd wanna be Jake too! I'd wanna be Jake too! I'd wanna be Jake too!" Rita giggled, nae-naeing.

Cannerts started to protest as he followed Jake's Nae-Nae instructions.

"Turn the base up!" he sang out loudly, swishing around in his long white coat.

Rita laughed out loud as Jake grabbed her hand, spinning her around, her dinosaur tail smacking Cannerts in the leg.

"Turn the - ow! - base up!" he sang, "I thank God every day! That I woke up feelin' this way!"

Jake and Rita clapped behind him, cheering him on as he continued.

"And I can't help lovin' myself! And I don't need nobody else, nuh uh!"

"If I was you, I'd wanna be me too! I'd wanna be me too! I'd wanna be me too!" they sang in unison.

They danced through the hallways, blasting the music loudly and irritating the patients.

"If I was you, I'd wanna be me too! I'd wanna be me too! I'd wanna be me too!" Cannerts sang once more, nae-naeing.

"If I was you, I'd wanna date Jake too! I'd wanna date Jake too! I'd wanna date Jake too!" Rita continued, looking over at Jake.

He grinned, skating closer to her.

"If I was you, I'd wanna kiss Jake too! I'd wanna kiss Jake too! I'd wanna kiss Jake too!" Rita sang before being cut off by Jake's soft lips on hers.

When he pulled away, he smirked at her.

"If I was you, I'd wanna kiss me too." Jake teased.

Rita slapped him on the arm. Jake pulled her into his chest, laughing, as another Meghan Trainor song began to play.
