*narrator*
It was a sunny morning in the state of California when Tyler Brown woke up. When he finally got out of bed to go use the restroom he heard his phone buzz.He decided to brush his teeth before looking at who texted him.
When he finally did check his phone he seen that it was his best friend Marissa from school. This is what the conversation said:
||Tyler:♥ Marissa:♛||
♛: Wanna walk to school together?
♥: Sure! Meet me outside my house at 7:40.
♛: Ok. See you then! Bye.
♥: Bye Marissa!
*Tyler's POV*
-outside Tyler's house-
Marissa and I met outside my house and started walking to school. It was really hot outside so we were both wearing shorts. It seemed really quiet and no one has said anything yet so I decided to break the silence by saying "wanna go to the mall after school?" And she said "Sure, do you just wanna walk since it is only a few blocks away?" I replied, "yeah! That sounds great." "Ok, I will see you at lunch since we don't have any periods before lunch together😞." Said Marissa sadly. "Ok." I mumbled. We then hugged and went to our first period.
*still Tyler's POV*
-lunch-
I met Marissa at the table we usually sit at and we both put our stuff down and got our lunch.
Once we sat down we chatted a little between bites talking about what we were planning on doing at the mall. I suggested that we could hit up a few stores, get a bite to eat, shop a little more or walk around, and then leave. She thought that it was a good idea. So we finished up our lunch and just then the bell rang and we actually had the rest of our periods together after lunch so we walked to class together, found our seats which were right next to each other, and then the teacher began talking. UGGHH!!!
*Marissa's POV*
-after school-
When school was over I met Tyler by his locker and we walked to the mall. While we were walking we started to hold hands -just as friends- but we both didn't say anything about it. After we got to the mall I let Tyler choose a store to go to first and he said "Hollister."

*Tyler's POV*
-food court-
We decided to get Mexican food and after we got done eating we were really tired so we decided to just leave and not shop anymore. I asked Marissa if she wanted to come over and watch a movie or something and she said she will ask her mom.
Her mom approved so we left and went to my house.
*Tylers POV*
-Tyler's house-
I let Marissa pick the movie and she decided on "The Purge." So, I put it in the DVD player and we sat in the couch with some popcorn. I knew me and Marissa were best friends but I started feeling something every time I was with her. I felt like I should make a move so I scooted a little closer and inched my arm around her. I didn't know how she would react but when I looked at her I could see her blushing and she layed her head on my chest. I WAS SO HAPPY!!! I was glad I did that.
She fell asleep on me before the movie was over so I very slowly lifted her a little to get up and go get her a blanket and pillow.
When I brought it back she was just waking up and I told her that she should go back to sleep. She asked "what time is it?" I said it was 2:45am. So I went upstairs to go change into pajamas and brush my teeth. I then went back downstairs to find Marissa waiting for me. So, I turned off the TV and we went back upstairs with Marissa to my bedroom.
I let her borrow some sweatpants and a baggy shirt to sleep in and then we got in bed and cuddled. I knew this is what I wanted to do because I liked her but at the same time it kind of felt wrong because we are best friends.
She never really showed how she felt about me besides when she blushed downstairs. I really hope she likes me because I think I might ask her to be my girlfriend in the morning at school.
We cuddled some more and both ended up falling asleep. I was dreaming about how I should ask her out tomorrow. Just straight forward? Big announcement? Poster?
*still Tyler's POV*
-Tyler's bedroom-
|| 6:30am ||
I wake up to my alarm and find Marissa laying on my lap still asleep. I am thinking to myself, she is so cute when she is sleeping!! Then she wakes up and swings her legs off the edge of the bed and goes to the restroom. When she comes out she jumps a little and says " I didn't even notice you were awake!" Followed by a slight giggle. I said " yeah. The alarm went off." And I have to ask you something Marissa."
"What is it?" She says concerned while sitting down next to me. "How do you feel about last night?" I ask somewhat nervous. "To be totally honest with you Tyler, I have liked you since the day I saw you but I thought of you more as a friend. And that is how its been ever since." She says. I try really hard not to blush. Next, I say and do something that I thought I was never going to do.
"Well in that case...." I lean over and kiss her for longer than I imagined. I them slowly back away and open my eyes. She says, "You don't know how long I have been wanting to do that with you." I then kiss her again for almost twice as long. And then I say, "well, we should really get ready for school so we won't be late." "Ok, if you say so." She grumbles.
She takes a shower and get dressed. Then it dawned on me!! I plan on asking her to be my girlfriend once we get to school but I still have no clue how! I. Am. Screwed. If I want to do it today then I better think quick. When Marissa gets out of the shower I get in and the whole time I am trying to think of a way to asks her out. THEN I REMEMBERED!!! I have a real silver necklace that I was going to give to my ex but I realized that I didn't like her and I kept the necklace.
So, I am going to take that to school and before first period I am going to give her the necklace and ask her to be my girlfriend. GENIUS, TYLER!!!
