"Kyungsoo." pause. "Kyungsoo."

"Huh" he didn't move one bit, continuing to stare ahead.

"You've been zoned out for like 5 minutes, jesus christ what are you staring at" the blonde girl asked him

And so he didn't answer his best friend because fucking shit can't she realize he's staring at a girl that he knows he has no chance with, but let the boy dream will you.

"shhh shhh sh" he pushed his finger to her mouth and suddenly he would quickly pulling his finger back because teeth had sunk into it "fuck, ow"

"don't shush me, now what are you staring at"  she followed his eyes straight down to the girl at the neighboring party there on the beach

Grey sweater reaching her midthigh loosely, white destructed shorts peaking every time she moved a certain way and she was laughing with a red solo cup that looked huge in her small hands with this long brown wavy hair and obviously sunkissed olive skin even from the reflection of the fire

"hmmm you got your eye on the pretty brunette" the blonde smirks bringing the corona bottle to her lips

He blushes and releases his gaze from her

"You should go talk to her" she suggest, sipping the sour drink

He looks at her with wide eyes "Me. Talk to her? She wouldn't give me the time of day I mean look at he-"

"If you don't snatch her up, I will." Her face turns to an even bigger smirk.

"You fucking wouldn't." he challenges.

"But I would Soo. Now if you don't go talk to her you know I'm going to have her under me by the end of the night."

"What do I even say to her."

"Simple. Just say 'Let me eat you out' it always works."

"I'm serious, Irene."

"When are you not, Soo?"

"Just bump into her, and when she looks at you smile and apologize, introduce yourself and bam you're in her in an hour. Tops."

"My goal isn't to just fuck her or get fucked by her. Unless she wants to do that but I don't think she's up for a socially awkward asian guy to get it deep in after just an hour of knowing him."

"Deep" she quotes and snorts

He snaps his head at her with a death stare.

"Just go talk to her damnit. Whats the worst that could happen? You or her fall into the fire pit?"

And just as he's about to stall some more to avoid talking to the out of his league girl he feels a tap on his shoulder

"Soo!" his cousin pulls him into an immediate hug

"Elly? What are you doing here?" he questions while starting to release from the hug

"Mom and me missed Halmeoni, so we rented a house for the summer here"

"Oh, really? you could have just stayed with us you know"

"Yeah but Jongin just had to bring his little freshman fuckboy friends with him, he 'couldn't leave behind his bros for the whole summer he would be sooo bored' so now we have a house with three 14 year old boys yelling bro at eachother and leaving doritos all over the house. Those little shits."

He smiled widely as she was explaining, not even noticing who was standing amongst her group.

"Oh, Soo, these are my friends."
