Judar had led you through the courtyard, he seemed on edge. Ever since your run in with Hakuryuu he seemed upset.
"Uh...Judar..." He glared back at you, you cleared your throat. "...Master... are you alright?...you seem...tense." Judar glanced harshly at you.
His gaze softened, he let out a sigh and stopped in his tracks. "It's just...I can't believe Hakuryuu did that...I...never mind..." He turned around to face you with a smile. "C'mon (y/n)! You need to meet Kouen!" He took your hand and began to run through the halls. Well, he cheered up fast.
He led you through the maze like halls, without him you think you'd be lost within the delicately designed walls. He finally stopped in front of a large doubled door. "This is the library. Kouen spends most of his time here." Your Master said as he opened the large door, it was surprisingly lighter than it looked.
"KOUEN!!! ARE YOU IN HERE YOU NERD!?" Judar shouted, you heard a groan come from the back of the room.
"Judar, I thought I told you not to disturb me in my studies." An angry Kouen got up from his desk and walked to the red eyed Magi.
"Yeah, but that's all the time, and it's fun to bother you. Anyways, I'm here to introduce you to (y/n)." You turn to the rather intimidating man. Just something about his eyes unerved you.
He bent down to get a look at your physique. He got up. "Tell me (y/n), do you like to read?" He asked, eyes narrowed.
"Uh...yeah, why?"
"Perfect, now we can talk. So what is your favorite book?" He leaned in again, but his eyes seemed less terrifying.
"Um...my favorite book is...(f/b)." You sheepishly said. You saw Judar smile from the corner of your eye.
"Ah, a classic! My favorite book is the Color of Magic. It's so adventurous and it really shows how we know nothing of what lies beyond our world, it's just so-" Judar cut him off.
"You know what Kouen, we have to go meet up with Hakuei so we'll just go now." He begins to push you out of Kouen's study.
"Aww, but..." You started
"Nope it's important for you to meet everyone first!" Judar shut the door behind him as Kouen looked on at what could have been a new friendship.

"KOUMEI!!! WHERE ARE YOU!!!" Judar's voice echoed through the palace walls. He turned back to you."Well, it looks like Koumei and Hakuei are out right now. You'll have to wait until they return."
"Um...Master?"
"Hmm?"
"Are there any other magic spells I should know? I've never heard of Emotional magic...in fact I specialize in Ice and Fire magic." You stare at your master in the eyes. He walks over to you and takes a strand of your (h/c) hair gently.
"Hm...so much to teach." He let it go and began walking off. "C'mon, I'll show you where you'll be sleeping." You run after him but stop. You see many black rink following after him. He was casting a spell.
He turned around and launched a lightning bolt in your direction. You begin to make a borg as fast as possible. The lightning breaks through and hits you.
Judar stays standing where he is. He smiles, putting away his wand. "Fast reflexes, but your borg needs to be stronger. Although, it did save you from near death."
"Near death!" You were shocked, he tried to kill you?
"I mean, if you couldn't summon a borg before a magic burst hit you, then what kind of apprentice would you be? C'mon."
You didn't need to know him to understand something was bothering him. Or maybe you knew him more than you thought. It didn't matter, all you knew was that Judar's gaze was stuck on a palace window. When you looked, nothing was there.

"Alright here we are!" He opened a door to your new sleeping quarters. You gawked at the sight. Your bed was round and covered with a (f/c) canopy. The bed sheets looked soft and were (a complementary color) to match. A bowl a fruit was placed on a side table, most of them (favorite fruit). You walked towards the bed and flopped down. The sheets were made of silk and you practically sunk into the mattress. You looked to you right to look out a large window with a view of the training grounds and the courtyard."Well, what do you think?" You yelped and turned your head to the left. Judar's face was inches from yours. He wore his signature smirk, he seems better.
You back away from him. "I-it's lovely." You reply. Judar frowned, unimpressed with the answer. " It's like you read my mind. Everything is (f/c) and I absolutely love (favorite fruit). Even the view is breath taking." You look to the raven haired Magi who seemed happy with your answer. Good.
"That's great! You'll be staying here for awhile after all." He sounded so enthusiastic. It made you wonder what changed his mood earlier when he attacked you. You wanted to ask, but didn't want to over step your boundaries either. You stayed silent.
"I'll let you stay here for a bit. I have some business to take care of."
"Business?"
"Well I am the high priest of the Lou Empire. I have a life outside of you."
You giggle at his comment, you hardly knew him after all and you already seemed like a friend to him.
When you looked back Judar's head was down. He looked...upset...no... embarrassed? "Well I'll be leaving now. Bye!" He said quickly leaving you by yourself, not once looking up.
You lay back on the bed, a warm feeling overcomes you as you drift into slumber.
A/N: I do apologize for the wait. I'm finding it harder to find time for this. I recently graduated High School and will be leaving for college in a month. I'm so excited :) I won't stop writing of course. Just don't expect many updates...who am I kidding...I'm already horrible at updating. How long has "The Eric Neko" been sitting...I think I'll update that next. Anyways Animelover267................
