He ran, through the pitch black wood, all the while looking over his shoulder in the hope that he was no longer being hunted. His legs screamed for him to stop but he just couldn't he had to get away, he had to escape from it! It was so strong, so fast. The only way he saw it coming was from the unnatural glowing green mist surrounding it. Faster and faster he ran, jumping over broken trees, dashing through brambles and thorn bushes, his face being torn apart in the process but it was not enough. It seemed as if the faster he went the more closer it became! He could feel hot blood running all down his face and into his eyes, He wiped it away as he realised had run through almost half the wood already and could almost see the ever nearing light of the woods edge, "Just a bit closer" he thought, barely able to keep from fainting, just then he saw a flicker of movement within the trees, when he looked back the light at the edge of the wood had disappeared and all that was left were trees! It was as if they had moved! "No impossible!"

He tried to run closer to the opening but something tripped him and he fell. He staggered up trying to run through the trees but it was useless, the trees it seemed had barred the way out, he tried to run left but they were there, they were also on the right, the trees had him surrounded, he was now in a circle of trees with nowhere to run. Then he saw it, the sinister female figure, bright green eyes almost glowing in the dark, and small, a small figure no taller than a child. He fell over onto his knees not able to hold him up any longer.

"Should have done what was asked of you" the haunting figure whispered into his ear

"No please! I just need more time!" he begged helplessly,

"Too late," came an evil chuckle.

Then she brought a vine from behind her back and placed it on his chest, her hands glowed, a bright green, then the vines started to rap around his back, legs and arms, making it impossible to move. The vines dug into the ground and slowly started to squeeze him, he felt a terrible burning pain all over his body as his legs began to become stiff and bark started to grow all over them, then it spread onto his arms, his chest and finally his head with one last scream it covered him. Now all that stood was what looked like a normal tree which now also obeyed the commands of the small mist covered figure.
