A little kid was sitting on the beach when the tide came and washed up hundreds of starfish on the beach. The kid proceeded to pick up starfish and throw them back in the ocean. Then an old man came to the beach. When he saw the kid frantically throwing the starfish, he came up to the kid and said," Son, you know save all those starfish, it won't make any difference." The kid picked up another starfish, threw it in the sea, looked at the old man, and said," I made a difference in that one's life."
I wrote this story with Mrs. Hembree, the teacher I aid for, in mind. I think that's the goal of teachers, parents, and any individual in one's life: To make a diffrence in the life of those they love and care for.
