I fixed my hair into two buns, making sure my edges were laid down. I checked my outfit over for the hundredth time this morning,

Sandra: Jailee, Justin hurry up I'm leaving in 5!

I sighed grabbing my bag off my bed rushing down the stairs to meet my mother in the kitchen. I'm unfortunately the baby out of my mothers children. Well only by one year. Justin ran down grabbing the apple I was reaching for and bit into it,

Jailee: That was rude

I folded my arms across my chest as he shrugged,

Justin: Ya snooze ya lose

I smacked my lips,

Jailee: Ma!

Sandra: I don't have time for this today, I have a big business meeting Jailee and hopefully this will get us out of this raggedy ass house,

I sighed, . . .

Jailee: Ma you coming to my competition right? We made it to nationals,

Sandra: When is it Jailee?

Jailee: Tonight,

Justin: No, I have a game tonight there's no way you ditching me

Jailee: This is important to me Justin, you can always play ball

Justin: Not for the scouts, I may get drafted what's ya cheerleading gonna do for us in the future? I'll wait.

I sighed,

Justin: Exactly, ma you'll be in the stands cheering ya number one on huh?

He fake shot a basket, she smiled and slightly nodded. I sighed as we pulled up to the school.

Sandra: Have a great-

I slammed the door pulling my bag on my shoulder walking off, I got to my locker and grabbed my needed books out

Karmen: Umm, Jailee right?

I rolled my eyes seeing Karmen behind me sucking on a super blow pop,

Jailee: Yea, why?

I closed my locker,

Karmen: Well next weeks homecoming,

Jailee: And?

Karmen: And since your Justin's baby sister I was wondering if you could ask him to go with me?

Jailee: Ask him just like you just asked me, move Karmen

I pushed pass her,

Karmen: You'll regret this Jailee!

I fanned her off going into my first period . . .

Coach Tee: As you ladies know tonight is the biggest night of our lives,

We all did stretches preparing for tonight,

Coach Tee: Tonight you cheer in front of millions, in hopes of helping our guys win their first game of the year

I frowned,

Jailee: Coach you said we were going to nationals in new jersey,

Coach Tee: I thought we were too, but principal Lenard had other plans for us

Jailee: But what about nationals?

Coach Tee: We forfeit,

I walked struggling with my trophy, school bag and duffle bag while my mother kissed up to my brother.

Sandra: So what do you want for dinner baby?

She carried his trophy,

Justin: Lets do pizza,

Sandra: Anything for my number one,

I rolled my eyes, I became team captain, MVP, MIP, and I got us back into nationals. He won his first game, that's it that's all.
