Harry's phone chimed my ring tone within a matter of seconds. All of my tweets got sent directly to his phone, he was one of the first people to see most of them. Harry looked up at me and smirked while the panic on my face was clearly visible. He clicked on the message, his face falling to an upset stare at his screen instantly.
"Do you really think that?" Harry asked me while choking back tears. I could hear the pain in his voice, it upset me to the point I wanted to delete the tweet. How could I? If I deleted it, people would suspect more than they do.
"Harry, you know I don't believe it." I answered in a whisper, putting my hand on his shoulder from across the table. Slowly, I stroked what I could reach of his arm up and down, trying to calm him. He nodded slightly, agreeing with what I said.
"It's gotten to be too much." he stated. His head was rested on his arms with his eyes closed. I could hear small sniffles from him every few seconds, I knew he felt the same as I did.
The full band hated the fact that we had to hide our personal lives. No matter what we thought of something, we had to be the perfect popstar and say what the press wanted to hear. All five of us lived two different lives. One of our lives was the popstar, another life was the real us. Everything had to be perfect, even if it was a lie.
"Oh, I know." I replied, still lightly stroking his arm. I got up and switched sides of the table, putting my full arm around Harry to comfort him. He lifted his head and looked at me, tears lining his eyes. Whenever Harry cried, the upset look on his face could always bring me to tears. I felt a droplet of water approach my cheek, and I quickly wiped it away with my free hand.
"I'm tired of hiding the real me." Harry groaned, annoyed with the whole situation in general. Though he was still crying, he seemed more angered now than anything. His fists were balled up and he was now sitting up straight.
I looked into his eyes, and he softened his mood, nestling his head on my shoulder. I flashed a satisfactory smile, happy with how this was turning out. I pulled him in tight with the arm that I had around him, and he rested cuddled up next to me as we drove in the bus.
After a few minutes, I gave Harry a quick reminder, "We have to keep it a secret, Haz."
Harry looked up at me, turning his head as it was placed on my shoulder. It was an uncomfortable turn, but I didn't mind it because it was Harry. He sighed, not knowing what else to say, "I know, it's just hard."
Harry and I rested in our position for what seemed like a few minutes, but when I opened my eyes I noticed a few hours had past. Assuming we fell asleep, I grabbed my phone to see the details of where we were headed next.I noticed I had a text from Simon. He told me details sometimes, other times it was someone else.
I opened the text and read, "Hope you had a good ride Lou. Your next stop is Miami, Florida. Eleanor and you haven't been seen together for a long time, so she will be there. Look for a silver mini-van when you get out of the bus, we transported her in that. All you have to do is walk around together, make sure the paparazzi see you. Have fun, make us proud!"
My heart fluttered at the text. I was instantly excited, I would finally be seeing Eleanor again. It had been about three months since we had last seen each other. She was busy at school back at home while I was touring the United States. The tour was almost over by now and seeing Eleanor, my love, just made it all the better.
"Great, can't wait to see her!" I answered, and slid my phone into my pocket quickly to make sure Harry didn't see it before he woke up.
