Annie's POV
"Katie! Truth or dare," I asked my friend Katie during out sleepover.
"Dare!" Katie exclaimed, her eyes gleaming in the October sunlight.
"Girls, please come inside" Mrs. Jill said worriedly.
We rushed inside and Mrs. Jill sat us down.
"Annie, Caleb is in the hospital," Mrs. Jill said sadly.
I froze.
"Katie, Annie, get in the car now," Mrs. Jill demanded.
I cried my way to the car, Katie in front of me. We hopped in the car as Katie hugged me. Silence filled the car as we drove into the sunset. Mrs. Jill parked and I saw Mommy and Hayley getting out, Daddy was already inside with Caleb. I held my blankie and we strolled inside. Katie sat next to me and Hayley on the other side. Daddy came into the waiting room, obviously worried. Mommy walked over and Daddy whispered something into her ear. She ran out, crying. The clocked ticked 7:08 as the doctors ran out. They pulled us in and Caleb laid there, lifeless. He wasn't breathing and I scrambled out, screaming and crying. Katie rushed after me and sat me down so we could talk.
