Revenge

Chapter 3

Matthew's POV

We get to the party and I grab Cassidy's hand once we get out of the car. We wait for Thomas and Victoria to get out of his car before we walk to the door. I stop Cassidy before she can walk inside.

"You don't leave my side unless you're with Victoria or Thomas, I don't feel like kicking some guys ass tonight." I say to her, she smiles up at me.

"I got it babe, but the same goes for you." She says before winking and walks to catch up to Victoria who is standing at the door waiting for us. I smile at her as she walks away. I catch up to them, I grab Cassidy's hand again and we walk through the door. The smell of alcohol fills my nose, I take off towards the kitchen to get Cassidy and I a drink. She smiles at me gratefully as I hand her the drink, in one drink she chugs it. 

"Lets go dance." She says to me as her favorite song comes on, she grabs herself another drink and drags me to the dance floor. I grab her hips and move with her to the beat of the music. We finish off our drinks, I walk away to get us another leaving her with Victoria and Thomas. As I am about to walk back to Cassidy I hear an annoying high pitch voice, Hannah, I turn and look at her.

"Matthew!!" She yells over the music as she stumbles towards me, tripping on her last step. Me being the gentlemen that I am I stop her from falling, she stands back up and next thing I know the drinks are on the floor and Hannah is kissing me. I hear a scream, Hannah breaks the kiss.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?!" Cassidy yells, but she isn't looking at me, I feel a little relieved when I notice she is looking at Hannah. 

"I-I was just giving him a thank you kiss, for not letting me fall." She stutters her response. I heard a slap, I look up to see a pissed of Victoria and an even more pissed off Cassidy, but Cassidy is in front of me and not Hannah. Victoria is standing in front of Hannah glaring at her while she holds her cheek. I look back to Cassidy and feel a sharp pain in my cheek, I look up and see her walking out. I run after and try to explain but by the time I get outside she is already in her car and about to leave. I run inside and search for Victoria, I spot her on the dance floor with Thomas and I beg her to go after Cassidy. It took me a good five minutes to agree but she did. 

Cassidy's POV

I am looking for Matthew, he left to go get us drinks like five minutes ago. I find him by the drinks, but are drinks are on the floor and he is kissing Hannah. I scream, Victoria must have heard and recognized my scream because she and Thomas were by my side in an instant. Hannah breaks the kiss. 

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?!" I yell, she looks scared at my outburst.

"I-I was just giving him a thank you kiss, for not letting me fall." She stutters. I glare at her, then look at Matthew. Victoria comes up behind and pushes me towards Matthew, I hear a slap and I turn and see Victoria has slapped Hannah. I internally smile at my best friend, always having my back. I turn back to Matthew and without hesitation I slap him and walk away, out to my car, I hear him yell after me. I get to my car and get in, I see him standing in front of my car with the look of regret in his eyes. I put my car into reverse and see him run back into the house, I roll my eyes and drive away.

I drive and drive until I reach Victoria's house, I let myself inside the house using the hidden key. I go to her room and change out of the dress. I lay on her bed and wait for her to get home, hoping she doesn't come home drunk and having a heated make out session with Thomas. 

I must have fallen asleep because I was woken up by Victoria walking into her room and throwing a pillow that was on her floor at me. 

"Hey." I mumble and attempt to bury myself in her pillows. 

Victoria's POV

I stupidly agree to help Matthew and go after Cassidy, knowing where she is going to be I head home. She knows where the hidden key, she comes to my house whenever she wants to be away from her parents. I walk into my house and upstairs to my room, I see Cassidy sleeping on my bed. There is a pillow on the floor next to my door, I pick it up and throw it at her. She wakes up and glares at me until she realizes its me. 

"Hey." She mumbles as she tries to bury herself in my pillows.

"Cassidy Renee, stop trying to bury yourself in my bed and talk to me." I warn her, I hear her sigh as she sits up on my bed. Once I see that she is not going to bury herself in my pillows again I go change and text the boys that I have her and that she is okay. I walk out to my room and I ask her how she's feeling.

"I feel like shit, he was fucking kissing her, I don't know who kissed who first all I know is that he was kissing her back. I can't believe he would do that to me!" She yells and then she does something she very rarely does, she cries and I hug her while she cries. 

"Do you want to eat ice cream and watch Netflix?" I ask, she nods. "Turn off your phone, no boys tonight." She does as I say and I go downstairs and grab the ice cream with two spoons, I go upstairs and see Cassidy picking something to watch. 

After watching a few movies, Cassidy was already asleep, feeling tired myself I drift off to sleep.

Thomas's POV

About 15 minutes after Victoria leaves I get a text from her.

Victoria: "I found her, she's at my house. We are going to watch movies. See you tomorrow. You know where the key to my house is if you plan on crashing here, be safe. I love you."

Thomas: "Okay babe, we are probably gonna come crash at your house, I'll make sure Matthew sleeps on the couch. I'll be joining you and Cassidy. I haven't been drinking since you left so we are safe, we are catching a ride from Liam, but I am driving Liam is sobering up right now. Get some sleep I'll be over soon. Sleep tight beautiful. I love you too."

I tell Matthew that Cassidy is okay and he sighs in relief. He was really worried that she would do something stupid. I set off to find Liam. 

"Liam, you ready to go?" I ask him, he is sitting on the couch drinking a bottle of water. 

"Yeah, here are my keys." He says as he hands me his keys. I take them and we go out to his car, he is sober by the time we reach Victoria's house. 

"Be careful going home man." I tell him as he gets into the drivers seat. He nods and drives down the road.

I unlock the front door, Matthew collapses on the couch, I tell him goodnight and head upstairs to Victoria's room. When I open the door I see that she is closer to the wall, meaning I have to climb over Cassidy to get to Victoria. I cuss under my breath as I begin to climb over Cassidy, careful not to wake her. I successfully make it to Victoria, I lay behind her and wrap my arms around her waist and pull her closer to me, I hear her sigh in content. One of her hands grabs mine at her waist and holds it, with a smile on my face I drift off to sleep. Right as I am about to fall asleep I hear someone throwing up in the bathroom, both Victoria and Cassidy are still laying where they were. That only leaves Matthew to be the one throwing up.

Being the good friend I am I slowly get out of the bed and go downstairs and grab him pain killers and a bottle of water, he takes them gratefully and lays back down. With that situation dealt with I go back upstairs and climb back into the bed by Victoria and try to go to sleep. Victoria rolls over so her head is on my chest, I kiss her forehead and smile at her sleeping figure. I drift to sleep thinking of the beautiful girl laying next to me.
