Picture the cliché couple. You know, the ones that meet by chance; whether they're neighbors or they're best friends who fell in love or the cheerleader and the jock. Every high school has one. Everyone adores them. But not me. Because I despise clichés and I hate sappy love stories. I've seen too much of the world to believe they could happen. But if this is how I've always felt, why is it that he managed to change my mind?
It wasn't a sudden change of heart, by all means. It was gradual, and it grew and grew until it was too late to go back. And that's what terrified me the most. There was nothing spectacular about him or above average. He was just another boy that I had a class or two with. But that boy managed to find a way to become truly remarkable in my eyes.
