Okay ladies and gents, today we'll continue on Speculating about the character:
Ranger (Freddie) Gonzalez

Okay,from the last chapter we know he is definitely in episode 2 of season 3. What we don't know is why. The actor portraying this character is hella artsy so all we get is pictures of the area that he's filming at and sunsets (no action).
There are two characters that are being introduced and directly connected to Freddie.
The first is Nicky Whelan who will be portraying Dakota, Earl's daughter. This character appears in the films Planet Terror and Grindhouse. Earl McGraw appears in From Dusk till Dawn (film & series), Grindhouse, Planet Terror, Kill Bill ,and Death Proof (basically most of Quentin Tarantino/Robert Rodriguez produced movies).
Dakota and her father are obviously both characters that are in more than one film. "According to Quentin Tarantino, he is a character similar to The Wolf, who can theoretically move between the universe" (Planet Terror Wikia).
So I'm pretty sure he means that McGraw can move between the movie universes given that he's been in more than one story line, played by different people. Plus he died in the opening of the From Dusk movie, but moves on to be in Kill Bill and Planet Terror.
She may be like a sister to Freddie since, he was adopted by Earl McGraw. I don't think the storyline from Planet Terror will carry on to From Dusk, but she may have the attributes that she had in the past films. For an example, she's an anesthesiologist so she might be one again in From Dusk.
The second is Gray Willet, portrayed by Robert Knepper. Willet is "... a Texas Ranger with an attitude- and agenda - all his own." (dusk wikia)
What agenda do you think that might be? Why is there another Texas Ranger introduced? Could Willet be Freddie's new partner?
In the #AskDusk video above Jessie Garcia says "[Freddie] is a little bit different this season than the past two." and "I have a lot of scenes with him this season[Jake Busey]."
🤔 I wonder why Ranger Gonzalez would have a lot of scenes with Sex Machine. Also, why is the character 'a little bit' different this season. Has Freddie teamed up with or against Sex Machine? Is Dakota anything like family to Freddie?
These questions and many more will be answered when Season 3 airs. (Probs late August?¿).
