Lost Him

It was a winter morning. My best friend Ben and I decided to spend a lazy day watching movies. Ben was my everything. We grew up together. He was like the brother I never had. We were bored to death and had nothing to do.

"I'm gonna make something to eat. You want?" I asked Ben as I got up from the couch.

"Is that even a question? He asked back

I just laughed and went to the kitchen

I was taking out the eggs when I heard footsteps. I turned back to see Ben

"Charlie, I have to tell you something." He said looking at me

"Yeah, what's up?" I asked him putting the eggs on the counter.

"I'm moving to new york." He said blankly

I turned around tearing up. What the hell? He's leaving? He can't be!

"Oh my god, please don't cry. I was kidding." He said hugging me

"You idiot!" I said hitting his chest playfully

"I'm sorry. I didn't know you would cry" he said with a sorry face

"Idiot! Of cause I would cry. You are my best friend." I said hugging him

"But seriously though. I do have to tell you something. Just don't get mad at me okay?" he asked

"Okay..." I said

"I'm dating a girl" he said smiling like an idiot

"Aww Ben, I'm really happy for you" I said poking his cheek

"Stop doing that" he said pushing my arm.

"So who's the unlucky girl?" I asked turning to the pan which in now hot.

"Kim" he said

I just nodded.

I know Kim. She's there in some of my classes. But from what I heard she had a boyfriend. Maybe they broke up. Who knows?

Next day in school.

I was taking some books from my locker when someone hugged me from my back. I knew it was Ben because only Ben hugs me like that.

"Hey" I said turning around and hugging him

"Hello my beautiful best friend." He said letting go and smiling so wide"

"What got you so happy?" I asked smirking

"I'm going on a date with Kim today" he said smiling even more widely

I just smirked and said I have to get to class.

School went on pretty good.

Whenever we hang out the topic about Kim will always come up. He was obsessed with that girl. He can't stop talking about her. I was so happy for him to be honest. Seeing him happy with a girl after what happened with Kristy.

"She was so cute when she blushed." I heard him say

"I'm so happy for you Ben. I can see how happy she makes you." I said hugging him

He just nodded. "I think I should leave now. We have school tomorrow." He said getting up

I just nodded and he left

I took a shower after he left and hopped into bed and let sleep take over.

I was supper early to school today because I had some stuff to finish up. As I was walking to the library I saw Kim and some guy walk out of the janitor's room. WTF! Is she cheating on Ben? I will fucking kill her!
