"Urg" I groan, hoping I don't have to go to school today. "MEG, GET UP YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE TO THE FIRST DAY OF GRADE 10!" my older brother Nick yells. "Fine" I murmur. I trudge out of bed, wishing I hadn't stayed up all night watching MagCon videos. I look out the window at the beautiful Vancouver sunrise.

I drag myself over to the bathroom taking a quick shower. I walk over to my dresser and pick out some clothes, a black t-shirt and some skinny jeans. I walk over to the bathroom- for the second time today- and wash my face with my makeup wipes. I quickly put my concealer on my acne, and throw my shorter brown hair in a ponytail.

I leave my room- not bothering to make my bed. I drag my feet across the hard wood floor- before getting to the stairs. I sit down at the top of the stairs and slide down the stairs. I'm so tired. I think to my self. I walk to my kitchen and grab a banana and a bowl of Cheerios. I grab the milk from the fridge and walk back to the counter with the bowl of dry cereal. I pour the milk- spilling some on the counter- and put the milk back in the fridge and chow down on the lazy breakfast. I finish my bowl of cereal, and put the bowl in the sink. I throw out my banana peel and leave the kitchen still slightly hungry.

My brother skips down the stairs a look of pure excitement on his face. "Why are you so excited?" I ask groggily. "I don't have to go to school any more!" He teases. Yes my brother is 19 and not going to college for another year. "Ha ha very funny" I say with fake enthusiasm. "You okay?" He asks slightly concerned. "Yep just tired" I reply. "You know going into high school with no friends is going to be hard." Nick says with a little sympathy. " I spilled so milk on he counter in the kitchen. Can you clean it up? I'm going to be late" I ask Nick opening the closet grabbing my old, beat up, white converse, and my backpack. I untie my converse and slip them on my feet. After tying my shoes, I put my backpack on my back, and head to my bus stop.

While walking to my bus stop. I look over to the road and see a raccoon and it's babies walking across the street. I smile at the thought of them get across the road. The raccoons make it across the street, and walk into the bushes. I run the rest of the way to my bus stop. I walk up the stairs. I walk to the back of the bus to see to people taking up the 2 back seats. I mentally curse wishing my stop wasn't second, and sit in the second last seat to the back. I grab a book I had stuffed in my bag the day before and start reading.

When the bus stopped. I closed the book and put the book back in my bag. I stand up and proceed to walk off the bus until someone steps on my heal, causing my shoe to come off. "Excuse me" I say turning around to see Jack Johnson looking down at his phone. Why was I so rude?! This is Jack Johnson we're talking about. "H-h-hi" I stutter. He looks up and smiles. "Hello" he exclaims. "Umm I'm sorry but I need to tie my shoe so I'm sorry in advance that you have to wait. Again I'm sorry" I say really fast. "They we're right Canadians do apologize to much." He chuckles. I just stare at him in complete shock. "And you can tie your shoe I don't mind" he smiles back. I untie my shoe slip it on my foot and tie it again. "Alright loves get off the bus" My bus driver yells, in a friendly way.

I walk off the bus with Jack beside me. "Hey slut" A familiar voice squeaks behind us. I turn around to a fist colliding with my jaw. I fall backwards, and get caught by Jack. "Hello Lauren" I mumble. Jack stands me up again. I thank him and turn my attention to Lauren. "I DON'T KNOW WHAT I EVER DID TO YOU, WHY THE HELL DO YOU HURT ME" I yell. "Well slut" I cut her off "I think you forgot the fact that I have never had a boyfriend, therefore I can't be a so called slut" I sass. "You had a boyfriend Megan. Don't lie to yourself" Sam brushes my comment off like it was nothing. Oh my god, is she talking about KINDERGARTEN. "Are you talking about Kindergarten"  I scoff. "Well duh" Lauren responds, like it's the most obvious thing in the world. "Are you kidding me?! I had a girlfriend in Kindergarten, that doesn't make me a man whore" Jack rages. He grabs my hand, and pulls me toward the school.

I hate those girls
