Lauren's pov
It has been a few weeks since I've been back home. Not much has changed.
I feel like I'm a terrible person because I'm lying to my family about everything and I hate it.
Every night that I have to sneak out or every morning that I have to force a smile I just feel like a disappointment.
Other than my family life being terrible I guess the being a thief part of it is going fine.
Adam alice and I have accepted the fact that we are not normal people anymore.
Amazingly after a little incident in the bathroom I have discovered exactly what they have done to us.
Sometimes when I get really scared or feel like something's gonna wrong i do a very unique thing.
I hide.
But not ur normal going behind furniture type of hiding.
No I simply turn invisible.
The pills that they make us take helps us control our special abilities. Without them we would practically die.
I was also informed that we had our first job in a few weeks and not did I feel unprepared.
We have been training for weeks yet it still feels like I'm not ready.
The worst part is that they want us to steal some designs from a Russian company.
Russians don't have a very good reputation bieng nice. But I guess we have no choice. This will be our first great heist.
