"How do you feel about a long distance relationship sweetheart?" Ashley asks me while we are walking threw the hall. "Well, honestly I'd walk around the world for you, so a long distance relationship wouldn't affect me, why do you ask?" I look at her curiously preparing myself for the worse. "Randy, I don't know how to tell you, but I'm moving." She says quietly while looking down. I couldn't find anything else to say except "oh", come on Randy you could do better, I mean this relationship was for four years and you had a bunch of memories with this girl, she's the love of your life , she's everything. "Do you want to break up?" She says with a hint of regret in her voice. "The thought never crossed my mind, nor will it ever happen, so no I don't want to break u-" before I finish my sentence she gives me a kiss, score. As the bell rings for class, we hug and kiss each other goodbye till the end of the day.
School was a normal day, oh did I mention it's the last day of school, on a Monday crazy right? Anyways, it was pretty casual, me and my friends talk about the stupid things in life, listen to country music and talk about our love life, boys right? The last bell of the school year rings as everyone hurries out the door to enjoy their summer break , I wait for my girlfriend at the usual spot we meet, under the stairs. Five minutes of waiting turned to ten, ten minutes of waiting turned to thirty. " Where are you at, I'm under the stairs " I text her casually waiting. After 5 minutes of no response, something told me to go to her house, so I started running there, she's only 5 minutes from the school so it was an easy jog for someone like me.
"No, not now." I say as I arrive at her house seeing a for sale sign at her house. I fell to my knees, feeling hurt, broken, and alone, then my phone rings, it's her. " Ashley why didn't you tell me you were gonna be gone today, why?" I say, my voice shaky and unable to accept the fact she's gone. " I didn't want you to be hurt Randy, I'm sorry, I'll text and call you everyday and I'll send letters, and we can cam every night till we fall asleep." I can hear her trying to hold the tears back. " I love you." She says as she hangs up the phone. " I miss her already" I say as I get up and start walking home.
