Chapter Two: You Again

My alarm went off at 11:00. I slammed on the snooze, and I got out of bed, so tired I was running into my wall. I really wasn't in the mood to go see the woman who birthed me. I just wasn't. What was so urgent, anyway? Although, knowing her, she was gonna have some crazy thing to tell me, and it was gonna ruin my life and happiness with my new family. That's just the kinda person she is.

I walked downstairs. Only Josh was up.

"Wassup, dad?" I asked.

"Nothing much," he began. "Colleen is still asleep. Sorry, mom is still asleep." We were all still getting used to this. Heck, it's only day two.

Today was already gonna be pretty crazy. I could see it. First I have to meet with the woman who birthed me, then I had to see Juliana. Apparently something major, too. It's just gonna be one of those days.

I opened the door slowly, and I was hit by the nice breeze from outside. I didn't have too much time until I had to see her, so now was probably a good time to get on that bike of mine, and drive.

As I continued on my ride, I came to a stop. The car next to me seemed to not care that I was where I was because he started merging and nearly hit me.

"What the hell, man?" I screamed.

"You little pieces of crap riding your bikes!" He yelled back.

"I am in the damn bike lane. You're the one coming into it."

"What did you just say to me?"

"I called you out on the dumb ass things your were doing."

I figured now was my time to flee and get the hell out of there. My bike began swerving, but I didn't care. I had to get to safety. But oh goody, there was the stupid bakery, with the woman outside of it.

"Hey, we gotta talk," she said.

"Yea, thanks Sherlock," I started saying. "I sorta got the gist of that yesterday on the phone. Now what the hell do you want from me?"

"Excuse me?" She was getting worked up, but she shook it off. "Look. Your dad-"

"He's dead," I said, cutting her off.

"Well, no. He wasn't your father. See, your biological father and I... well we got together one night. We had out fun, and there you were. He turned out to be a huge jerk, and we split up right then. Wasn't that a wise idea. Later on, I met the man I married, and we dated for 6 months. He proposed, and we got married a year later, and you were 2 months old. And-"

"Wait, when were you planning to tell me all this?"

"When you were all grown up. However, we met up again, and... I'm-"

"No, don't you say it."

"I'm pregnant."

I had to take this all in. She had an affair before she met the man she married, with this man she got pregnant. Now, after the one she had married then divorced was dead, she had fun with him again, and another kid? This was gonna be a straight up sibling. Same parents.

"What the hell?" I said. "What do you think you're doing? Gonna raise a child? Yea, because that went so well the first time."

"I wasn't finished!" She said, her voice deeper. "I want Josh and Colleen to take them in."

"I don't know about that-"

"Just talk to them. Maybe it will all work out." I doubted her, but it was worth a shot. "And, he wants to meet you."

"Well," I began, my anger getting worse. "It's a little too damn late for this crap."

"Excuse me?" She tried to continue on, but I walked over to my bike and drove off. This wasn't happening. It couldn't be. Why? Why did this have to happen? I didn't get it. I had to cool down. I had to go to the hiding place of Juliana and I. We were gonna meet at ice cream soon, so I figured it would be cool to just chill there.

I arrived, and I looked around. It was more gorgeous then I remembered. There were roses, and tulips. She had been keeping it looking fancy. I laid down, and I just stayed there. I had a half of an hour left, but it's always good to be early.
