//Your POV//
I turned to look myself in the mirror. My (H/C) hair curls down to below my shoulders. I smiled as my eyes drifted farther to the beautiful sparkly, white gown that almost matched my aunt's wedding dress. My aunt had planned everything perfectly and with me to help. She was my favorite relative excluding my mom. Today was the day of her wedding and I was as giddy as she was. The thing is that I was her bridesmaid and it was nerve racking to even think if I accidentally screwed the whole thing up. I'm 16 and still clumsy as fuck. And what annoyed me the most was that my crush, Simon Minter (If I'm not wrong, I'm pretty sure he just started off making his YouTube channels and wasn't that big yet) was to walk me down the aisle. Of course it was all planned by my wonderful aunt and his mom. Just as I was about to about flip out about the whole ordeal, a knock shook me out of my thoughts. "Hey sweets." My aunt Claire (Going with that 😂) spoke and she embraced me. "How are you feeling?" I asked. She sighed nervously and she chuckled. "To be honest, I'm scared out of my mind. I would have never pictured myself doing this, but here I am with the man of my dreams." She started to tear up. "Hey hey hey, don't cry. You'll make me cry and we'll ruin our makeup."I chuckled and she cheered up. "You ready to go?" I nodded we headed out.
When we got to where the bridesmaids and the rest were waiting, aunt Claire left to her spot. I met up with Simon and he stared at me in awe. I giggled and said, "Take a picture Minter. It lasts longer." He had a smirk on his face. "Oh shut up. You know you like it." I scoffed and took his arm as we were told to get in position. We started to walk out the doors and he whispered, "I really don't like these things." I giggled lowly and he smirked at me. "What's so funny?" I shook my head. "Of course you don't. Guys like you, players don't usually like the romance kind of things." His smiled widened and he leaned closer. "We'll see about that." I didn't get a chance to ask what that meant before we had to separate.
~Le time skip to the reception~
The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and I cried through most of it. Everything turned out perfect as expected and it was time for the more fun part. I sat at a table near my aunt with my bestfriend, (Bff/N). The breeze of the outside air felt refreshing and it was getting dark. As the night continued, (Bff/N) and I danced to every song. Eventually we were tired, but of course I didn't want to stop. "Come on! Please one more dance, it's a slow song and I have no one to dance with if you don't dance with me." She lifted her head from the table and smirked. "Why don't you ask Simon to dance?" I looked over at Simon who was sitting with his family. He was looking around for someone and then his eyes landed on me. He smiled and I felt as my heart skipped a beat. Nope, stop stupid heart. Okay maybe don't stop on me, but still. I turned away and blushed. "Not a chance." She smiled mischievously and said "Are you going to tell him that?" That's when she indicated to Simon who was walking towards me. "Would you care to dance, (Y/N)?" He said in a fake gentlemanly way. I took his hand and he led me out to the dance floor as another slow song came on. He placed his hand on my waist as he held my hand. I stiffly put my hand on his shoulder while my heart was beating out of my chest. Damn hormones. "I thought you didn't dance." (Quote and experience from my real life except the other way around. I asked the guy, sorry enough with the personal junk.😊) He smiled. "I don't. And you said I don't do all this romantic junk. This seems pretty romantic." I blushed and regained my confidence. "You're doing this to prove a point then?" He looked down at me. (Height difference) "Nope, not exactly. Maybe I wanted to dance with you." His faces flushes slightly. "Maybe I wanted to dance with you too." He smiled. At this point, I felt at ease and I left my hand that was on his shoulder relax. It stretched out til it reached the ends of his hair and I gently played with the soft hair. His hand on my waist gently pulled me closer and we danced in a comfortable silence until the song ended. Simon slowly let go of me and we walked towards the punch bowl, while receiving a wink from (Bff/N). "So, when are you going back to the UK?" Simon grabbed a cup and started filling it. "Tomorrow morning. Going to miss me?" I laughed. "I don't know about that Minter." He gasped in fake astonishment. "You won't miss me? Really?" We both laughed and he handed me my cup. "Well, I better get back. Thanks for the dance Simon." This time he smiled genuinely and said, "Anytime."
~A short le time skip~
By this time, everyone had left except my family and Simon's family. We both waited outside on the front steps and looked out at the stars. I break the silence. "It's going to be really quiet when you go back. I just might miss your cockiness." Simon chuckles. "Same here. Except I'm not all player and cockiness, deep deep deep down there I have a heart that actually likes being normal and doing romantic stuff." We both laughed and I took it as a joke. Slowly as my nervous chuckles came to an end he whispered, "Let me show you." Then, Simon leaned in and my eyes closed. We both leaned closer and .... The sound of the door opening makes us jump up. My face heats as Simon's family walks out. They tell me my parents will be out soon and they say their goodbyes. I inwardly sigh as Simon says bye and starts to walk away with his family. Just as I'm about to sit down, Simon runs back up to me and kisses me. My heart leaps out of my chest as he does. After a minute, we separate. "Bye, (Y/N)."
