3 a.m. , Wonderland

{ Hello! :) This is my new story , the story line is the same as my previous book ' The Next Alice' the story will start over but with a different plot and setting . New characters will be added but nevertheless it is still the same story . I hope you like it ^^ Also for those new reader , this story is based on the Vocaloid song ' Alice of Human Sacrifice' . Please pardon some spelling errors as this has NOT been edited yet . Enjoy :) }

Chapter one

3 am , Wonderland

" Charles , this is a beautiful place! So quiet and serene . " The woman said cheerfully.

She looked so peaceful , her face free of worry and distress. Her frail and petite hands was interlocked with a strong and hard one , which belonged to her husband.

" Indeed. Miranda is such a dear to sell us her old house. After all , this house is perfect for a newly-wed like us ." The man said , agreeing with his wife.

He held onto her protectively , as the woman's right hand ran over her protruding belly. She was three months pregnant.

Hand in hand , the couple stood inform of the grand foyer of their soon-to-be new home .

" WAIT."

Alice woke up breathless . Sweat trickled down her cheeks as her blue eyes darted around.

" Alice , what do you see?" Dr Hale's caring voice echoed around them. His eyebrows furrowed with concern , solicitous about the girl.

Since the age of nine , Alice Eldred has been seeing the psychologist , Dr Hales every Thursday afternoon , with her brother Lucian .

" Nothing. It wasn't really important ..." Alice mumbled.

Her brother Lucian sat next to her , firmly gripping his sister's hand.

" Alice , we can't cure your depression and find out what really happened on the day of the murder if you don't tell us what happened." Dr Hales sighed and he rubbed his temples.

" I don't have depression ..." Alice murmured , quietly enough so that Dr Hales was unable to hear.

Lucian looked at Alice sadly. Unfortunately , her brother's assurance was not enough to control the agitated girl.

" ONLY BECAUSE THAT RATCHET BITCH MIRANDA SAID SO , DOES NOT MEAN THAT I HAVE DEPRESSION." Alice hollered.

Upon hearing Alice's harsh words towards her step-mother , Miranda , Dr Hales stood up and left the room , firmly clenching both of his fist. Before the physiatrist left , he threw a newspaper cutting at Alice's feet.

With shaky hand's Alice picked up the newspaper article and read it with a trembling voice , so soft that it was almost inaudible.

" JEALOUSY? MURDER COMMITTED BY THE SISTER OF THE BRIBE !

June 12 1956

On a midsummers eve , on Colonel Eldred's marriage to the heir of the Evergreen fortune , ms Juniper Evergreen , the lucky couple's happiness soon turned into sheer bitterness as the hapless Juniper Evergreen was found dead right before the wedding. Evergreen's pristine gown , costing around 9000 pounds , was completely soaked in her own blood. The murderer was later identified as Evergreen's own half sister , Anna Grace Evergreen .

Anna Grace has been sentenced to execution."
