The train had already stopped by the time I woke up. Peter was holding my suitcase.
"My mother is waiting for us on the platform. Follow me. We'll explain everything as soon as it is safe."
For lack of a better option, I followed Peter outside. Instead of a car, Catherine was in a horse drawn carriage. I paused for a moment, confused.
"A carriage?"
"Yes, once we explain, it will make sense."
"If you say so..."
By then, we had secured my luggage on top of the carriage. I walked briskly towards the side door. Peter followed behind me closely. Suddenly, a silver dagger flew through the air just above my right shoulder and lodged in the carriage's wooden door. I stumbled backwards, screaming. Moving faster than I had thought possible, Peter jumped in front of me, pulled open the door of the carriage, and hurried me inside. I collapsed on a seat, still panicked. I began to cry in shock.
"WHAT ON EARTH? WHAT'S GOING ON HERE? IS SOMETHING TRYING TO KILL ME?" I screamed and screamed, fearing for my life.
