The Dark Forest

A/N just a little short story cause I'm bored

One day, a dad and a mom got in a fight. The mom stormed off outside. The dad assumed that the mom was just mad. A few days passed and the dad realized that the mom wasn't coming back. They had a little girl named Alisha. Alisha was 4 when her mom stormed off and always remembered what she looked like. 4 years later, Alisha had made some friends. One day Alisha was having a play-date with her best friend Riley. They ran up to her dad and asked if they could play in the woods beside their house. The dad agreed to letting them go as long as they were back by lunch. The girls, filled with joy, ran into the woods. They ran in on a path, but when they looked back, the path was gone; so was their house. The girls ignored it since they were more interested in what was deeper in the woods. With every step they took, the path in front of them grew, and the path behind them disappeared.  They walked for what seemed like an eternity, when they came to a clearing. There was no grass, just dirt, and only one tree. It was old and dead. They decided to keep walking past the dead tree, but there was no path. The little girls decided to go inspect the tree. They slowly walked towards it. Alisha suddenly screamed starring at the tree in horror. In the tree was a decaying body hanging, still recognizable. It was her mom. The wind started blowing as the sky got dark. In the wind they heard a voice. Your here! they heard a women's voice say, its been so long I've missed you. The little girls screamed in horror. They ran where the path used to be. Don't leave so soon, she hissed as trees fell blocking their path. I've waited this long to see you, you 're not leaving me!  she screeched in a demonic voice. The trees suddenly closed around Alisha. Riley stood in horror as she heard Alisha's ungodly screams. The trees cleared to reveal Alisha, cut up with a noose around her neck. The tree started going up slowly, tightening the rope around Alisha's neck as she struggled to get it off. Riley ran towards her and tried to help. The tree suddenly whipped up and with a loud crack Alisha's body went limp. Hahaha she's mine forever!  the mom screamed. Riley ran through the woods in terror and heartache, making her way back to the house. As she ran, light started to appear. "Help! Help!" she screamed. The dad ran out to Riley and saw her cut and bruised. "Where's Alisha?!" he said, looking behind her.  She stared at him in horror, her eyes wide with terror, "Her mother took her."
