The "Haunted" House

It all started with a phone call. The other voice sounded like one of my best friends, John. We must've talked on the phone for at least two hours. This wasn't like a friendly phone call, it was a haunting one. You know the serious talks you have with your parents? Yeah, it was kind of like those talks. He started talking about this weird house just down the street from him.

He had told me that it was kind of like a haunted house. I started thinking to myself "Wait a minute, it's not even October. Why would there be a haunted house?" He said that if a person made it through the haunted house they would get a $1,000 reward. $1,000 sounded like a really good amount of money. So, I asked him directions on how to get to this so called "haunted house."

He said, "That I shouldn't go to this house, because I would never make it out alive." This made me want to go to the house even more. Later that night, I snuck out and went to this so called "scary" house. I was standing at the front of this house, and a sign near the doorbell read; "Enter at your own risk, you may not come out alive." I started to question myself on whether or not if I should go in.

I can't be scared anymore, I barged into the first room. It really wasn't that scary, it had a couple of fake spiders and some orange and black streamers across the room. I thought to myself, "Man, this is going to be really easy." I started walking to the door that had the number two scratched into it. I reached for the doorknob, and opened it.

Here, I stand in room number two. Kind of scarier then the last, but not by much. This room had snakes on the ground. It also had a scary clown sitting on a chair in the corner of the room, rocking back and forth. The clown started to talk to me, it said, "You shouldn't have came here, this is your biggest mistake." I decided to ignore this creepy looking clown and started to look for the door that leads into room number three.

After walking fifty yards, I finally found the door that leads into the third room. The third room is when everything started to get scary. There were pictures on the wall that started to move closer to me. The thing that makes it even creepier is that these pictures were of my family. How did these photos get here?

I had to get my eyes away from these photos. I had to start looking for the door that lead into room four. After what seemed like a couple of hours, I finally found the door to the fourth room. I opened the door with terrible fright. I'm scared to see what lies on the other side.  I'm kind of regretting coming into this haunted house.

Anyways, I started to opened the door to the fourth room. This room was filled with fog from a fog machine sitting in the corner of the room. I felt something go across my leg. Creepy laughter started to follow me throughout the room, was it the clown that I had previously seen in room two. I frantically looked around to see if I could spot where the laughter is coming from.

I searched for the door that lead into room five. Room five was the worst of all. Describing room five is going to be a difficult thing for me to do. When I describe room five just know that I am not crazy.  This room was dark, I couldn't see anything.

My worst fear came to life in this room. This room was full of nasty insects. The insects were crawling all over me. I tried to get out of this room, but it took forever. Finally, I found a door with the number six etched on it but this time it was in blood.

In room six I met someone. It was a girl, she was tall and slim, she was walking around like she knew the house like the back of her hand. She moved so quickly that I couldn't see any physical features. But, I noticed what looked like a name tag on her shirt. I couldn't make out the name on the tag.

I tried to forget about the girl that I had just met. I looked frantically around the room for a door with the number seven on it. As I was looking for this door, I was able to make out what the name tag had said. It read the name Sophia. She kept following me around the room until I finally found the door.

I turned the doorknob that led to room seven. As I entered the room, a deep voice came over what I thought was an intercom. It said "You shouldn't have came to this house, now you're going to be a part of this house." Maybe the voice on the intercom was right, maybe I am going to be a part of this house.

Should I give up now, or should I try to find the next room and try to get out of this house? Now, I'm contemplating on whether or not this will be an reward to get. I don't know if I can finish this house. It's driving me to insanity. Is there an end to this haunted house?

I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever see my family again. I decided on trying to find the door to room eight. A few seconds later, I saw a door across the room. It was room number eight. Wait, the door that leads to the next room was the one that I had just entered. I turned the handle and went into room eight. In room eight, there was the girl that I had previously met in room six. She was sitting in a chair crying.

On her forehead was the number nine. I was puzzled on how I would get to room nine. Then, I started thinking. Did I have to kill her? I've never killed anyone before. Sophia started screaming at me, telling me to put her out of her misery. My thought is that she had been in the house before and that it put her through the same thing that it is putting me through.

I looked everywhere for a weapon. Out of nowhere Sophia pulled out a pistol. She handed it to me. I aimed the pistol at the number nine on her forehead. I pulled the trigger and suddenly a door opened to the next room. It was an outside room, I could see my car. I got in my car and drove home.

Was this finally the end? Am I really able to go home just like that? When I arrived home there was an envelope on the table. It had a letter in it. The letter read, "Congratulations, you made it through the haunted house. Here is your reward. But, now you are a part of the house."
