Looking around I grabbed my momma hand tight as a large crowd slowly formed around the store as we made our way out the store. People was running over with their phones in their hands, many screamed and shouted, others cried, I was confused of the incident what the big fuss was I guess it was another fight or something I stuck tight to my momma making sure no one touched her. Around this time, everybody start acting like animals stealing and all.
"I got you momma, shaking my head I looked at the crowd "people can't act civil even if their lives depended on it"
"You hush up now before that mouth get you caught in that mess, see this is what I'm always telling you children to stay out the streets, there no good for yall" she shook her head and I just looked away
"Yeah I know momma I hear ya but you know my friends and I just want to play ball, we not joining any gangs I promise..."
"Yall know better id beat the black off yall tell if I find yall around in crap you know supposed to be in" she took a quick glance at me
As we made our way through the crowd, I stopped and starred. I sat there looking blank eyed in shock as I watched the air fill with screams "boom" "boom" "boom" 3 shots went loudly in the air then another 3. I jumped every time the noise filled the air. What seemed to be in slow mo my bags hit the ground. A warm tear slowly made its way down my face as my momma ran to the car she was screaming something, I creeped around the crowd a little more to see cops standing around our car my heart beat matched the steps I took as I made my way closer to the scene. My momma fighting back with a cop pulling on her arm as she lay on top of a figure.
I looked around at the crowd which seemed to go silent, there was no noise other then my heart, I walked up behind my momma to find my daddy lying back down on the ground struggling to breath, he held on to my momma hand as he starred at me. I felt a chill flow through my body as I stared at him blankly the stare he gave me felt like death, I fell to my knees next to my momma and plopped onto of my father.
He whispered in my ear "DON'T NEVER GIVE UP, TAKE CARE OF YOUR MOMMA AND BROTHER AND SISTER, I LOVE YOU BOY" I looked up at him and still he starred at me with death as he went into shock and there laid his lifeless body "Daddy please NOOOO" I shock his lifeless body "Wake up daddy!!!" I screamed "wake up" he did not budge, I felt a hand grab the back of my neck and I flung up and turned around there sat a police in shock "WTF DID YALL DO YALL KILLED MY DADDY MAN." I looked at them with rage flowing through my veins I looked over at my momma who still was fighting to be with her husband "HE WASN'T DOING NOTHING BUT SELLING HIS CD'S HE WAS INNOCENT AND YALL ATTACKED HIM FOR NOTHING" she cried out as she cradled my father. "Ma'am we need you to move" the cop screamed behind her as he reached back to hit her, I jumped in-between them and put my arms up guarding my momma "Hit her if you dare." I starred at the cop blankly patiently waiting for that hand to come down "GET TF DOWN." Another cop ran for me I fell to the ground and their laid a cop on top of me "I DIDNT DO SHIT GET OFF ME MAN WHAT YOU GOING TO KILL ME LIKE YOU KILLED MY DADDY." Tears flowed down my face as I felt this heavy ass cop sitting on top of me squeezing my guts. "MAN GET OFF ME I CANT BREATH" I yelled, he just pushed his knee deeper in my back, I felt my lungs closing up as I gasp for air. I looked up at the crowd which stood like a blur as they rioted and fought to help me up, "GET OFF HIM YOUR HURTING HIM" my momma yelled. A cop had grabbed her and pressed her against the car, I struggled to try to maneuver my way from under the cop to help my momma just to be shot in my back there was the end for me...
