Chaos Divide

The room was hot and filled with tension, Elis was hiding behind Luke with fear evident in her whole body. Luke felt uneasy having Elis here but was used to getting stared down by everyone. As Luke walked to the bar he uttered the words Pete told him. The demonic barman muttered something back and then said, "but first how about a drink?" "What's on the menu?" Luke said smiling warmly. The barman pored a glass of liquid and handed it to Lucifer. "No need for payment I just want to know, who's the human?" The room fell dead silent as all eyes were on Elis. Lucifer sculled the glass and slammed it on the bar. "She, is mine! Anyone touches her, and you die" Lucifer yelled starring around the room. All eyes quickly fled his view except for two pairs of eyes. A demon rose from the back and made his way towards Luke, obviously a newcomer. "I don't like the idea of been told what to do" the demon said. This demon was a reaper, only a lower class. But a reaper is a stronger form of demon. "Well that sucks for you" luke stated with unwavering eyes. "If you want to be smart, how about an extinction duel" the demon spat. Extinction duels are named so because the fight will not end until death. "I haven't the time" Luke said grabbing Elis and turning away. The demon quickly grabbed Elis by the shoulder with its boney fingers, with a sudden shriek from her, Luke turned around and punched the reaper straight in the chest. The fight had now begun.

As the other demons of the room formed a circle around the two, Luke told Elis to follow another one of the demons to another room. Elis noticed that the demon he sent her with was the other demon that didn't back away from his gaze. "So your going to fight after all, you think you can beat a reaper, you are just human!" The demon sneered. The whole room chuckled at those words. "What is so funny! He is a weakling!" The demon hissed. This time the room burst into historical laughter. Luke stood straight, waiting for the reaper to make his first move. The demon slowly closed in on Luke and circled him looking for an opening. Luke barely moved a muscle. Once the demon was behind Luke it ran, full sprint at Luke. Reapers are fast but this low of a level reaper is no faster than an elf. Lucifer stepped out of the demons way at the last second. The reaper spun out of control as he fell forward onto the ground. He quickly regained his feet to find that Luke was missing. As the demon turned around he let out a shocking cry as Luke was standing behind him, both swords drawn. "kneel" Lucifer said in a dark, evil voice with his eyes pitch black. In a fit of rage and shock the reaper summoned a scythe and shot a bolt of lightning towards Luke. The bolt stopped about two feet away from Luke and dispersed into thin air. Luke now had black and purple flames covering his right arm and his long fancy sword. The demon hissed and roared at Luke. "KNEEL!" Luke now screamed furiously. The demon hissed a Little more and then backed up. Luke was fed up, he unleashed a blast from his sword that tore apart the reaper slowly. As the demon shrieked in terror the room ran silent. After the reapers body had disappeared, Luke went into the room that Elis had been taken to. Upon him entering the room, he was tackled by Elis, "What just happened! Are you okay?!". Luke just looked blankly at her, " I said don't come, and you thought you could bare the consequences" Luke was putting it hard on Elis, "s-sorry" Elis replied on the brink of tears. "You made a mess of him Luke" a demon said as it appeared from the shadows in the corner of the room. As Luke's eyes met the demons, the room ran cold and soundless. There was water dripping somewhere which was creating a suspenseful atmosphere. The walls went to ice and the howling bar stood dead quite. "I was looking for you" Luke said to the demon. "My, my the great devil king, looking for me, I'm honoured" "devil ki-" Elis went to ask Lucifer, but his eyes had now turned black, she started to understand how Luke knew all these places. "Enough of the jokes, I'm calling the favour" Luke looked sternly at the demons eyes, Elis couldn't make eye contact with the demon for more than a few seconds without her head hurting. "Alright, but only if you duel me" the demon spat. "Do you want to destroy everything?" Luke said. "I've been holding back for years, I want to battle the only person that can match my power!" The demon was starting to emit black smoke from under his hood. "Fine, at midnight tonight, the mercury fields on the border of the dragon kingdom" Luke accepted this challenge, but he had to make it as far away from the kingdom as he can without starting a war between countries. If he crosses the border illegally, a war between the countries could break out. "Fine!" The demon spat, "you better show!". Luke was prepared to fight, but this is a fight that could wipe out half the kingdom if they aren't careful.
