"Catherine .....CATHERINE! Wake up its Christmas, it's Christmas!" Shouted Rachel in her extremely excited way. Donny, Albert, Thomas, Susan and Rachel had been up for hours.
"YESSSS!" yelled Catherine in her overly cheerful voice. Everyone stared at her in silence. They all walked down the squeaky old staircase to the living room where mother and father were sitting.
"Catherine ," mother started."we have a present outside for you, come on let's go and see it."
They walked outside and found the beautiful chestnut horse with a bow on its halter.
"Oh mother, Father. This is the best present I've ever had. I shall call her Brittany,"said Catherine as she began to cry. They all rushed back in after they put Brittany in the barn. Everyone had finished opening their presents at about 10:42am so mother put the roast on.
"Catherine, why don't you go and ask mother for some apple slices to give to Brittany," said father and that's exactly what she did.
"Good girl Brittany. Are the apples tasty?" Catherine asked. Brittany had finished her apples so she decided to gallop around the big yellow barn and Catherine just sat and watched but after a few minutes she fell asleep.
"Where on earth is Catherine?" Asked mother. "She said she was only going to feed Brittany but she taken half an hour! Come lets go to the barn. Mother and father approached the barn and found Catherine fast asleep.
