I left. I grabbed my daughter and her diaper bag and just left. I pulled up in front of Jason's house and sat in the car for a few moments. I took a deep breath, slowly got out of the car, and grabbed Alicia along with her stuff. I rang the doorbell like twenty times in a row before the door opened. "Hey now is really not a good time." Came a deep, gruff voice. He paused, his amber eyes staring into mine. He looked down and rubbed the back of his neck. "Um, actually, why don't you two come in." He grabbed Alicia from my arms, stepping aside for me to walk in. I looked at him with a pure look of sadness while his six-foot tall, shirtless, form stood in front of me." Sorry I need to,um,go take care of something upstairs quick." Just then I heard light footsteps from up stairs. I put two and two together and grabbed Alicia from Jason. It was upsetting to think he already had a girl over. I had feelings for him, especially after the night before,so this was a little kick to the face. I still haven't said a single word, I just looked at him. "Sirea, it's not what you think. There is a girl here but we weren't doing anything okay?" The footsteps started down the stairs. A girl about my height, five foot and about six inches, with long brown hair came to the living room where we were standing.
"Jason I don't know how to work your shower." Her sweet, innocent sounding, voice said. "Who is this?" She asked pointing at me.
"This is my gi-" he cut himself off, "my best friend Sirea Frost. Sirea this is my little sister Kaitlyn. She came into town by surprise this morning not too long after you left." I just stared at her. I had no idea he had a sister. Yet again he keeps his family life private but still. I sat on the couch and shook my head. "Kat go upstairs please. I need to handle this." Jason sat down next to me as Kaitlyn went upstairs. "What happened? Why are you upset? I thought we fixed this last night what changed since you left like five hours ago?" He questioned as he placed his hand on the side of my neck. I told him in detail everything that happened after I got home. After the hour long, emotionally painful, recap of the events he just stared at me in shock.
"Can I just crash here for a night or two?" He kind of just stared at me and occasionally looked at Alicia who we placed in the play pin I keep at his house. After about fifteen minutes he finally spoke up.
"How about I do you one better. Living with your dad is only making things harder on you right now. Why don't you and the little angel move in here till things die down and you can get on your own two feet? I have the spare room and honestly I won't feel as lonely." He looked down, rubbing the back of his neck as he does when he gets nervous and I think he was even blushing. Last I saw him like this was with Alexis. They had a baby girl together but then she ran away with the baby not to long after the baby was born. He loved both of them but honestly I didn't think he was ready for a one year old. I bit my lip hard trying to battle between my motherly instincts and my feelings towards Jason.
