Today has been full of surprises. First, it was my family, then Joe starting my dance class and he said I have another one after the class. Do you know how long I have to wait? 2 and a half hours, 2 and a half for me to know this damn surprise.

"Okay class you can be quiet now!" Our instructor calls. This is Miss Smith. She is 22 and has brunette hair that is always tied up. "We have a new dancer. This is Joe Clarke." She gestures to Joe. "Go sit down with everyone else. Today we will be doing partner work and I will be assigning them." Oh great! I never have a good partner in these, I love solos and groups more.

I zoned out until my name got called out. "Amelia Taylor and Joseph Clarke." Why did she say his full first name? At least I got someone I know. We both walk to the back of the hall, where I usually practice.

"Why did you start dance?" I ask curiously. I spun into him and he threw me into the air.

"I got banned from the AstroTurf at school and have nothing better to do on the weekends so I decided I would join you." Okay?

"So when will I get my surprise?" He didn't answer, just rolled his eyes and carried on with the routine.

Joe's POV

I can't really tell her why I actually came. First, I came because it distracts her from what Jack, me and Shakirah are planning. Second, I was actually banned from our Astro so I've got more free time now. What's better than spending it with my girl best friend? Also my girlfriend and my best mate!

We were finally done with practice and I stink but also am sweating more than I do in football. I thought football you were moving more than dance but I guess I was wrong. The worse thing is that Amelia looks like she is hardly sweating. I have five minutes until I need to bring her to the park near the studio. "You can go dressed and meet me outside." I demand.

"Okay. Joe are you ok?" She asked.

"Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" Now I'm getting really nervous and I'm not the one doing anything. She walks to the girls changing rooms. I decide to call Shakirah, I would've called Jack but I know he turned his phone off so no one could distract him, to see if they are finished. It rings five times before she picked up.

"Hello?" My girlfriend's voice sounded confused on why I'm calling.

"Hey baby. Are you nearly ready?"

"Oh yeah. Just getting the last pieces done." There was a crash in the background. "Um, babe I'm gonna have to go help and go get her some food to distract her." Then she hung up. Typical Shakirah, I thought. She just wants the best for her best friend. Amelia is very weary when it comes to making friends, so she doesn't open up much to anyone. It's all because of her past.

Luckily, Amelia had her skateboard, like always, so we skated to McDonald's and she got the biggest portion of food I have ever seen. I know I'm supposed to be used to this but I don't think I can. My phone rang but I let it keep ringing. "You going to get that." She said with her mouth full. I answered quickly.

"You can come to the park now." She started, "if she isn't finished bring the food with her."

Amelia's POV

Joe dragged me out of McDonald's. Literally. He said the surprise was ready so I didn't whine about us leaving McDonald's. "Where is it? Who's going to be there?" I kept asking questions. I could see I was pissing him off. I love doing it to him.

"Please shut up!!" He yelled. I flinched and stopped the skateboard. I was on the verge of crying. "Oh shit. I'm so sorry." He hugged me.

"It's ok. I'm sorry for pissing you off and making you stay with me rather than your girlfriend. Just remember I helped you two get together. I know no one wants to date a foster kid who lost their parents and just met their mother and siblings today." I get angry really quickly but half of that stuff I shouldn't have said.

"Why didn't you tell me you met your mother and siblings?" He curiously asked.

"Because no one cares." I sobbed.
