#Chapter 4

Steve stood in front Avengers.
"Alright, listen up. Until we close that portal, our priority is containment. Barton, I want you on that roof. Eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays. Stark, you got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back or you turn it into ash."
Tony flew away with Clint. Steve continued his speech.
"Thor, you got to try and bottleneck that portal. Slow them down. You got the lightning. Light the bastards up. We stay here on the ground. We keep the fighting here. And Hulk - Smash."
Hulk let out a small smile and left to smash. Natasha turned to Steve.
"Captain, none of this is going to mean a damn thing if we don't close that portal."
Charlie turned to Natasha.
"Our biggest guns couldn't touch it."
Natasha looked deep in thought.
"Well, maybe it's not about guns."
Steve looked up.
"If you want to get up there you're going to need a ride."
Natasha smirked.
"I got a ride. I could use a boost, thought."
Steve pulled back and prepared his shield.
"Are you sure about this?"
Natasha smiled.
"Yeah. It's gonna be fun."
With that she jumped on shield and Steve busted her up. She took hold of alien and flew away.
Clint informed Steve about the situation.
"Captain, the bank on 42nd past Madison. They've cornered a lot of civilians in there."
Steve nodded.
"I'm on it. Charlie, are you going to be alright staying alone?"
Charlie smiled at his cuteness.
"Of course, Capsicle. Go. I'll be fine."
Charlie continued fighting when she heard Natasha.
"I can close it. Does anybody copy? I can shut the portal down."
Steve was the first to answer.
"Do it!"
Tony stopped them.
"No, wait."
"Stark, these things are still coming."
"I got a nuke coming. It's gonna blow in less than a minute. And I know just where to put it."
Charlie's eyes widened.
"But Tony, it's a one way trip."
Steve talked again.
"Close it."
Charlie stood next to Steve, Thor and Hulk waiting for Tony. Her eyes were filled with tears. Just then she saw Tony flying down and portal closing. She breathed out in relief. Steve smiled.
"Son of a gun."
Charlie saw that he wasn't slowing down. Thor swung his hammer ready to catch him.
"He's not slowing down."
Hulk jumped and caught Tony putting him on ground. Charlie run to him. Her eyes scanned him. His eyes still closed. Hulk roared and Tony jumped.
"What the hell? What just happened?"
Charlie smiled and hugged Tony.
"Please tell me nobody kissed me."
Everyone chuckled. Steve looked at Charlie and then Tony.
"We won."
"Alright, yay! Hurray. Good job, guys. Let's just not come back in tomorrow. Let's just take a day. Have you ever heard of shawarma? Charlie loves shawarma. There's a shawarma joint about two blocks from here. I don't know what it is but I want to try it."
Charlie smiled at her brother.
"It's good. I love it."
Thor shook his head.
"We're not finished yet."
Tony nodded and Steve and Charlie helped him stand.
"And then shawarma after."
