Promise Me

When Normani said she has a surprise this was not what Camila had in mind far from it actually.
"Camila wake up mija come on wake up." Sinu was trying to wake her daughter up nicely but it wasn't working. So she tried a new tactic.
"Dinah can I see one of your socks."
That was all it took for Camila to shoot off the ground so hard she almost caught whiplash. But Dinah's socks smell that bad especially after her and Normani play basketball.
"I'm up I'm up I'm good. Actually no I'm not good Normani how could you do this to me? Did I not love you enough? did I not support you enough? Cause for the love of God and everything holy why would you do this?
Camila couldn't hold back her tears anymore and was weeping on the floor. Normani tried to engulf her in a hug but Camila slapped her in the face.
"Don't you dare try to comfort me this is all your fault."
"Camila baby calm down its all gonna be ok. I didn't do this because you didn't love me enough, you support more than anyone would ever know. I did this for myself before Fifth Harmony was formed I always thought about joining the army after high school but our careers took off. Now that we're over and I'm still young enough I'm doing this."
"Normani sweetie why didn't you tell us this before." Asked mama Dre
"Because you would have told me no or talked me out of it. I really truly have to do this and nobody in this room is gonna stop me."
"Normani I want you to know one thing. If you go into the army you don't have me anymore."
"Why Camila does it have to be this way. Your always supporting me now you wanna switch up."
"Because this CAN KILL YOU!! I'll be damned if I talk you into this and you go and never come back. I'll never live down the guilt. My life without is practically pointless you're my everything. We've been through so much together. And to have that taken away from me would literally kill me."

"Camila I would never do that to you I'd fight till the bitter end so I can come back home to you every single time no matter the circumstances. I'll fight to come home to you as if that's a whole other war itself. I Normani Kordei Hamilton will not leave you till it's absolutely time for us to shut our eyes for good. I promise you I'll always come back to you. Just trust me please."

Camila wanted more than anything to tell her that she can't do it. She really doesn't want to leave Normani it's so not worth everything that they've been through to throw away from being so selfish. Even tho Normani was being just that. But the simple fact Normani can be a hero comes into the back of her mind and she doesn't wanna take that away from her.

"Ok?"
"Normani you know and so does everyone else in this room knows that I'll never actually leave you. Your stuck with me. I never ever in my life want to lose you but someday it will happen. But I know for sure it's not anytime soon. I'll ride for you till the end of time just promise me something."

"You'll always try to come back to me."
"Karla Camila Cabello I promise to always come back to you."
"That's all I wanna hear. Well it looks like your headed to the Army."
