5 days to impact

Cole

I moan in pain as I feel another foot hitting my ribcage. Trinity was complaining about falling off the top bunk? HAH! That's nothing compared to being bullied badly, every, single, day.  I am so not looking forwards to school. I attempt to get back up, but something hits me on the head, hard.  I loose my balance and fall back on the blazing hot sidewalk.

I moan again, and faintly hear someone laughing.  I get punched in the face... again, making my nose bleed even more. I wipe the red liquid off my face with my black hoodie, which was horribly stained with it.

No matter where I try to pass, these guys always find me. It might take them five minutes, or two hours, but they always find me. I get on my knees, attempting to get up again, but I am punched in the face once more, this time, I fall backwards, on my back.

Trinity grabs my arm to point me in another direction. We hear them, but we can't find them.  Cole picked a hell of a spot to get caught this time. "Trin, this is private property." I say as we go in between two houses. We live in a village, not quite a city, but still very large. She chuckled. "Since when has that ever stopped me?"  I shake my head slowly, my cousin likes to go in places she shouldn't go, and somehow she hasn't been caught yet.

We pause, only to listen from an intersection. Trin looked down. Blood. We're on the right track. I take a look at the traffic, rush hours, this could take a while, there is just not enough cars to cause a roadblock, so there's a constant stream of them. We are forced to wait for a generous driver to let us pass.(I had to hold back Trinity so she doesn't just walk in the traffic). Five minutes passes, still the steady river of cars. My cousin is beginning to throw her set of magnets on the metal street light. That usually means she's bored to death.

Finally, a dark blue truck stops to let us pass. I might of heard Trin mutter something, but I can't be sure. We cross the road rather swiftly, once on the other side, Trinity leads me to another drop of blood on the sidewalk, it was reddish-brown, meaning it had enough time to dry. I look around the area, near the town's elementary school. The school is a large concrete building, surrounded all around by other buildings.

"Behind the school!" I declare. Trinity looks at the school briefly. "Yeah, probably, that's one of the only places they haven't got Cole to" She respond's. As if it was called, once we turned the corner of the school, there they were, five in total, standing in a circle around the black-haired teenage on the floor. Cole was probably unconscious, not that it really mattered.

"Hey, weren't you that guy that got dumped in the trashcan in sixth grade?"  All five turned and looked at us, one of the brown haired ones looking rather more scared than usual. I think his name is Nick or something, I remember him perfectly when someone flipped him in the trashcan, it was rather funny. All five of the boys took off. They aren't very strong, about as strong as my cousin, I think the only reason they pick on Colin is probably because he's a weakling, not to offend him.

Cole looked up at us, there was slight confusion in his eyes, and his nose was bleeding badly. He was probably only half conscious when we originally came. Me and Trinity bot help him get up. Once we release him, he nearly falls back to the ground, only my quick movements saved him from a broken nose, if it wasn't already. He sits down on a big rock, Trinity hands him some Kleenexes that she brought. Cole tried the best he could to wash the blood from his face, he half-way succeeded, his hand was shaking chaotically and blood still came out of his nose.

We don't even bother asking for him to thank us, this has become a routine.  You would think that he would tell his parents or something, trust me he already has, but he's the youngest of a family of five children, his parents simply ignore him.

Cole looked up from his bloody tissue. "Have you heard that the meteor doubled once again?"  He said jokingly, to start up a conversation. I nod slowly and smile. "You should come to our house, get that hoodie of yours cleaned up and, who knows, maybe play some Minecraft"  I say with another smile.

"Echo! Can you block the rip in any way?" I yell at a four armed, dark blue-grey robot holding on to one of the pillars in the room whit all four of its hands. Exactly as I am doing, all to avoid being sucked into deep space.

Okay, maybe I should summarize this a bit. The Norixians just blowed a hole in sick bay. Me, Echo, and a few more of the robots are holding on to any of the five pillars. I suspect that Omega Five already knows of this breach, but I expect her to be occupied at the moment

"What? I'm an engineer, not an architect!" Protested Echo. She was right, but I'm a medic, not very useful for this either. Echo's black areas blinked blue, then I could faintly hear the sound of another robot sying something trough the communicator.

"How bad is it down there?" Asked the voice.

"Are you kidding Zero? We already lost half of the crew here"

"I am aware of that, you just need to hold on a bit longer, we will magnetize the floors in a instant, once Backslash can manage to put the magnets up and running"

"Hurry, we can't really hold on much longer."
