I wake up and check my phone to come to realize that it's 7:30 AND SCHOOL STARTS AT 8! I run to my bathroom, brush my teeth, get dressed, and grab my freaking heavy backpack full of useless crap. I scurry to the front door and look up and my dad stares at me in disappointment. "You told me last night that you will be ready to leave the house and 7:15", my dad says rolling his eyes. "Sorry it's just my.." "No excuses any more Luke! Now come on and let's get you to school". I get to school and there is a big long line full of cars. I check my phone and see A LOT of snapchats from my friends. Most of them said "Where are you?!" Then right as I finished the last Snapchat, I look up and my phone says 7:52. My eyes expanded like a balloon. I tell my dad bye and rush out of the car. While running towards school, I get a text from my best friend, Nia, saying that she has my schedule and to meet her by the choir room. I text back fast saying "THATS ALL THE WAY ACROSS SCHOOL! What's my first period?" She responds "science". I call her quickly saying "Meet me by the science room please!" I get into the school courtyard and of course, all of the 8th graders have to be there blocking everyone from getting through. I see in the corner of my eye that the side entrance is clear. I go through the door and run down to science. I saw Nia, gave her a hug, and went inside science. I'm literally sweating from running and from carrying my stupid backpack around.
The rest of the day goes by super fast. Then come 6th period. Now 6th period I have English, and I really like English, but for some reason I have the same teacher for reading the next period. I went to go ask my English teacher about why I have her for two periods in a row. She said it was blocked classes which meant I had the same teacher, same kids, and the same room for two periods in a row. Great. The best day ever. I have the same teacher for two periods. Turns out I got the "bad teacher". You know how like every grade has their own good teachers and that one bad teacher for that subject? Yeah with my luck, I got one of the bad ones. Turns out she was really nice and we barely did any school work. We just had one of this "about me" things we had to do. The school day ended at 4 and I was so glad to get home. When I got home I just got on my phone, ate, listened to music, and then fell asleep.
