My alarm clock on my cell phone started ringing it was already 6:30 and school starts at 7:30 I jumped out of bed or running into the bathroom I'm brushing my teeth and taking a quick shower since it's the beginning of the year I had in box braids so I just put my hair up in a ponytail and formica khaki and red uniform I grabbed one of my Converses and threw them on. I'm not much of a make-up girls so I only put on lip balm. Since I was very lazy I didn't do my homework last night so I sat in the kitchen and started on it. Mama was in the other room across from my sleep and she basically work 24 hours and we really never see each other, the only time we talk is on the phone when I get home from school and there was not much I really want to say to her. I said they're finishing my algebra homework. It was 20 minutes before 7:30 so I decided to grab my book bag back and start running down the street. Since School wasn't wasn't really that far from home my run wasn't that long. When I got to school there were a few kids there but no one in my grade I'm a sophomore at our high school campus I sat there on my phone waiting for my friend Nina to get here she was the only person I really was cool with she understood my my issues and she wasnt fake like some of these girls.
I sell a pair of warm hands wrap around my head.
"Guess who" I heard a think New York accent fill my eyes
"Wassup Nina" I said know it was her already
"Nothing best friend " She said taking her book bag off
"Look there goes Jayson" she said jumping
"Oh okay I said 😑
For some reason I think me and Jason are going to get married to run off and have a million babies
"Come on let's go to class "I said walking to my locker
"Hey Drew" I heard a deep voice said
I turned around and saw Jason walking towards me
"Wassup Jason" I asked
"Nothing I just wanted to know if you wanna chill with me" he asked
"I'll think about it, give me your number" I said
I gave him my phone and he saved his number as Daddy Jay💦👅
I took my phone and walked to Nina
"So what happened bitches" she squealed
"Nothing he wanted to chill after school " I said walking with her
"But aren't you working after school " she asked
"Yup " I replied
We both started laughing while he head to class

After school me and then I walk to the pizza shop and got some pizza then took the bus. Since Nina lived on the other side of town I would always take the bus with her. She didn't live to far from where I work that the mall was a couple minutes away from her house so every day after school with it the bus together.
When I got to the mall I got to work 5 minutes early well I work at footlockers
I walked to the counter and writing for a customer
"Hey do you have this in a size 12" a tall dark skin guy asked
"Um I check in the back " I said walking to the storage room I was looking for a size 12 in the retro 6's
I found on all the way at the top
"Today's your lucky day it's our last on" I said smiling
I hand him the shoes
"Thank you ma You have a beautiful smile " He said winking at me
I hated my smile I had big teeth with a gap between them that's why I have braces to close that gap up.
I was waiting to ring up these customers shoes
Best today I close the shop I decided to spend the night at Nina I texted my mother to let her know that I wasn't coming home tonight
Moms💞:What time you get off
Baby🤓💛:Nah I'm staying at Nina I close the shop tonight
Moms💞: Okay I'll leave some money to go grocery shopping for the next week I'm going on a 2 week business trip.
Baby🤓💛 : Alright
But now I was used to her once every month mother would go on a two-week business trip or for a whole month and it was nothing you and basically learn how to grocery shop do the laundry cook and everything on my own
Nina👅💞: you staying tonight

"I'm ready to pay ma" the guy said
"Alright what's you name "I asked him
"Mike " he answered
"Okay Mike you totals is $370.50" I told him
"Cash or Card" I asked
"Cash" he handed me $400.00
"Thank you for shopping at Footlockers your change $29.50" I said handing him the change
"Would you mind if I took you out on a date " he asked
"I'm 15 " I replied
"So I'm 17 what's the problem " he said
"I'll think about it" I said checking my phone
" I'll understand if you have boyfriend " He said
"Nah I don't have a boyfriend " I told him
"Here my number text me sometime " he said handing me a piece of paper
"Bet" I said smiling
Stayed at the store till it was 9:50 and then I was getting ready to close to store there was nobody left at the store and it was about closing time.
I grab my book bag in my phone and keys to the store and close the gate I make sure I locked all the doors and turned all the lights off I walked over to the bus stop and waited for the bus to come. This is my night everyday except for Sunday
