Chapter 5

Stiles P.O.V.

This is awkward.

Everyone is quiet and staring and there are looks of disbelief. It seems that everyone could tell we wanted to be together, but didn't see the "being mates" part coming. If I wasn't so nervous I would have laughed.

Scott's jaw is on the floor but he's glaring at Derek. Allison is also gaping but she looks excited. Lydia is giving me her "I already knew it" look, Erica is smirking, and the twins seem confused as hell. Jackson just had his normal bitch face on and Isaac looks worried. Boyd and Danny both have little smiles.

"Any questions, comments, or concerns?" I ask to break the silence. Scott and Isaac raise their hands like their in school. Really. "Yes Scott?"

"I'm concerned that Derek is a jerk and you're my best friend." he said while still glaring at Derek. I looked at Derek to see if he'd say anything and he was glaring back at Scott. His caterpillars were kissing.

"I would never hurt him." Derek more or less growled. Be still my beating heart!

"If you do, I'll kick your ass." Scott warned with a growl. I hope he'll see how much me and Derek like each other so he doesn't have to worry.

"Down boy." I say jokingly before Derek could get up and probably break his arm. "Yes Isaac, Dear?" I said. He still had his hand raised.

"Does this mean we won't have pack cuddles anymore since you two are together? Do we have to leave you guys alone more? Do I have to move out!?" He asks almost in tears.

"Isaac, of course we'll have pack cuddles! I love pack cuddles! We'll always have pack cuddles Buddy." I almost yelled. "Of course you don't have to move out Ise, this is your home. We're still a pack guys. Nothing will ever change that." Why would he think this stuff? Me and Derek being together won't change anything.

"Okay." Isaac mumbled with a little smile. It was silent for a while as everyone took that in. Jackson's hand popped up. I already know whatever he's going to say will piss me off or embarrass me because he's smirking and he's an asshole.

I sigh heavily. "Yes Jackson?" Maybe it won't be that bad.

"I'd just like to comment on how I'm so grateful that Derek's room is soundproof. I don't want to hear any of what you two will be doing in there." His smirk grew larger as he said this. Everyone laughs and agrees with him while I can feel the heat from my cheeks turning red. Derek looks unaffected but the tips of his ears are red. Cute.

"Well then if no one else has anything to say we can change the subject now." I say because that's enough laughing at me and my Derbear.

"Let's go celebrate." Danny says with a smile. Everyone starts throwing out ideas on what to do. Someone throws out a night in the clubs and someone else says pool party.

"We should go camping for the weekend!" Erica yells out excitedly. I like that idea. A Pack camping trip. Scott and Boyd began talking about how to make the perfect Smores while Erica, Allison, and Aiden argue over who will tell the best scary stories around the campfire. Poor Issac is listening to them in silent horror. Derek watches everyone with a soft smirk which is as close to a fond smile as we'll probably ever get out of him.

I think this will be a lot of fun. I got my pack, my mate, and Smores; What could possibly go wrong?

I am soooooo sorry for the long break. I'm at the end of my pregnancy and I'm in college and life is being life. Don't hate me!
