Boy or Girl

It was the day they were going to find out if they would simply dress the new blessing in hand-me-downs or have to start all over.

Adele was 5 months pregnant. Pregnant and in the middle of her North American tour. Just a few weeks ago she gushed about the news to basically 20 thousand people on the night of her first LA show.

She, Simon and Angelo went to the doctor earlier in the day to find out the gender. But, her manager wanted to make it a surprise, so she had the doctor write it down in an envelope to be delievered to Jonathon as soon as possible.

*Later during the show*

"So today me and my boyfriend went find out what gender we are gonna be expecting. To be honest, every parent says this but I am just happy with a healthy baby. I am quite curious to see how raising a girl is different to having a boy. I imagine my daughter having a loud mouth and a hot head just like me!" She roared out releasing her huge laugh in the process.

"But my manager has decided that he wants to surprise me by releasing balloons from the roof tonight." She was starting to get very nervous. Her mind was racing, her heart beating rapidly through her chest.

"Baby, are you ready?" With a nod and thumbs up from her other half, she proceeded to scream. "Alright everyone! In 3, 2, 1, RELEASE THE BALLOONS!"

A wave of pink balloons flooded the arena and tears were already staining her makeup filled eyes. She couldn't believe it. She was gonna have a baby girl. A girl she could play tea parties with. A girl she can have that mother/daughter bond with that she had always dreamed of.

She looked at Simon, and he was also covered in tears and smiles. The next thing she knew, she was climbing down the stairs to hug him. To kiss him. He must have been thinking the same thing, because he ended up meeting her half way down the aisle.

In one swift move, he had her in a sealed lock. His arms around her waist, pulled her as close as her belly would allow. Her hands came to rest on both sides of his cheek. Neither noticing they were on the big screen. They didn't even care. They sealed their happiness with a kiss. A kiss that could stop anyone's world from spinning. Their love was felt by everyone in that room.

"We have a baby girl, Adele. A baby girl." He whispered in her ear once she pulled away.

"I know. At least we know our daughter will have her brother to protect her. I love you so much baby. So much."

"I love you too Delly." They hugged it out and the silent arena quickly erupted with cheers.
