7 » Hope Is A Bitch

Arianna's Point Of View

I refused to open my eyes. I know what's going to happen when I do. I pray that what happened never did. My body feels different, it feels lighter? No. It feels numb.

My eyes shoot open and I realize I'm laying in a bed. I sit up a little where my back is against the headboard, I take in a deep breath as I stand up. I walk over to the desk picking up a pair of scissors, I look down at my palm as I slice it open I wait a moment but it doesn't heal. My eyes start burning from the tears, I can't believe this. Kai really took away my supernatural abilities.

How was that even possible? I can't be human, I never drank the cure. If all it took was one simple spell then why did everyone go after a stupid vampire cure?

I drop the scissors as I open my bedroom door and I slowly walk down stairs. I notice in the parlor that Kai had fallen asleep on the couch. I slowly turn as I head to the door carefully so I don't wake up the devil. As I turn the door knob my back is being slammed against the wall next to it and I come face to face with the devil himself.

"Where you going, princess?" Kai raised his eyebrows as he stared down at me.

"How did you do that." I ask bluntly ignoring the shooting pain in my back. "I need you to be a little bit more specific." He spoke. "Make me human ?" "Oh no. You're not human, I simply took away your vampire abilities – just for a while. They'll come back unfortunately but hopefully before then, you're friends would have come and rescued us."

"Give it back." I huff. I tried pushing him off of me but I never reailzed how weak it was to not have any supernatural strength. He kept his grip on my wrists, keeping me against the wall.

"You're so cute when you're vulnerable." Kai smiled down at me but there was a glint in his eyes that went off like a siren. "My friends won't come back! Especially now that they know you're a psycopath!" I yell. "Well, you better pray that they do." He stopped as he looked back down at me, "Otherwise you're gonna die."

"Fine. Kill me, I rather that then stay in your presence." He shook his head, "Oh no I meant if your friends don't come back soon, that spell I did, yeah, that's gonna kill you." He stated finally letting go of my hands as he walked back into the living room. I followed after him,

"What the hell are you talking about?" He sighed as he took a seat kicking his feet up on the couch. "Well, I don't have magic anymore to reverse the spell, and you have to reverse it otherwise you get terribly sick and you die. Trust me, you don't want to go through those stages. Horrific." He shuddered.

"You mean to tell me, that you put a spell on me knowing you couldn't reverse it?" I furrowed my eyebrows. He pouted a little but nodded, "Yeah."

That's when I broke.

"You asshole!" I yell as I ran at him attacking him. He had stood up but I didn't stop punching and shoving. I shoved him back against the wall as I continued to hit his chest. "Rot in hell!" I scream. He finally decided to stop me, "I already am, sweetheart." He pushed me off,

I take deep breaths as I sink to the floor leaning against the wall. There was nothing I could do but hope for Bonnie to come back for me. But hope's a bitch.

"Look, if you're done feeling sorry for yourself, we should really go grocery shopping." Kai spoke up, setting down the acendent in his hand before looking down at me. I glare lifting my head, "Go by you're damn self!" He let out a groan. "Fine. If you want to swallow in self pity, go ahead." I stood up looking at him with anger, "I don't know what you did, or how it was even possible but you basically turned me human again –"

"But you'll die. It will slowly eat away at you, making you sick, hallucinations, until it brings you insanity then you will die." Kai smirked.

"You're psychotic!"

"Trust me, princess. I know."
