French Toast and Devil's Night

Aria's POV
I felt really bad that I embarrassed Chris and everyone at the mall yesterday. I made those people cry. Why did they call the guys satanic? And what is a twat? So I decided to make Chris some breakfast. I know how to make French Toast!
     I had everything served I just need one more thing the syrup. I grabbed it off the counter and as I was walking to the table, Chris walked in. "I feew sowwy fow embawwassing you yeserday so I made you fwench toast."
I said putting the syrup on the table. He smiled and hugged me. He hugged me tight like a daddy should.
     "Aria you didn't embarrass me. It's just some people don't like the way we look." He said to me. "Chwis?" "Yeah Aria?" "What is a twat?" He looked and me shocked then his face fell sad. "It's a very mean word. Thoughs people had no right to call you that okay?" I nodded in response.
     We sat down and ate breakfast. "Wow this is really good, where did you learn to make this?" I blush just a little. "I is saw it on a cooking show." He smiled taking another bite. We ate our French toast and Chris drank coffee. "You want to listen to music?" Chris asked. I nodded real fast.
     "Here, pick out a song." He said giving me his phone. I put on one of my favorite songs. Devils Night!

     I sang most of the song with Chris. It was really fun. I still can't believe Chris is my daddy. "Wow Aria you did good!" Chris said. "Tanks Chwis.". We sat down and watched Edward Scissor Hands. "Chwis?" "Yeah?" I didn't want to make him mad or send me back but I think I have to tell him. "Can I tew you someting?" He nodded turning down the tv. "Why didn't my mommy wake up?" I asked him.
     He looked sad and sympathetic. "Aria your mommy she umm she was sick." I could tell he was lying. She said she was taking medicine. Mommy wouldn't lie to me. "She said she was taking medicine. The medicine was appose to help her." I said to him. "What medicine?" "The shots Chwis she said dey help her." He started to cry.
     "Aria did your mommy or David ever give you that medicine?" I shook my head and it was the truth. "I'm sorry Aria. But I'll tell you when your older okay?" I nodded and hugged his neck.
