A Bright New Friendship?

Jesse was quiet eating his food and Sam was looking at him.

*Sam* Jesse....you don't have to ignore me.
*Jesse* Th....this is weird Sam you do realise your sitting with me right? What if your buddies see you.....
*Sam* I skipped class to eat with you.

Jesse gasped and looked up at him with wide eyes and a blush.

*Jesse* Sam.....are you nuts...your a football player don't you know you need to keep your grades up to be a football player professionally in the future.
*Sam* Look at you.....worrying about me. Why?....Why do you worry about a person like me....someone who's stood by and let others hurt you....let them beat you just so I can be cool.
*Jesse*.......
*Sam* your still nice to people even after everything that's happened to you. Why?
*Jesse* I....don't like being mean. I'm not strong like you.
*Sam* Jesse....I'm not strong....In fact I've realised now that your the one who is.

Jesse is in complete disbelief.

*Jesse* me?!!!
*Sam* Yes.....anyone who can take as much pain as you... and still get up every morning and be the same person.... your stronger then me.... I wouldent be able to take that.
*Jesse* S...Sam why are you saying this to me?
*Sam* because I'm done being the bad guy Jesse. I feel for you....I wanna help you because everyone needs a friend. And because...... I like you Jesse... I've always liked you.

Jesse's heart drops and he gets extremely flustered and nervous and his face turns red.

*Jesse* y....yo...you like me?
*Sam* Hehehe yeah....I do.
*Jesse* But. ...why? I.... I'm a dork and a nerd.
*Sam* stop... stop downing yourself you'll make your pain worse. Listen to me Jesse.....you.... your not planning on hurting yourself tonight are you? You know. (Speaks in a whisper) Suicide?
*Jesse* ........
*Sam* Oh my god..... you were?...... YOU WERE?

everyone get there attention drawn again for a sec when Sam raises his voice but they go back to minding there business.

*Jesse* .......
*Sam* Give me the note....now!

Sam speaks in a angry voice. And Jesse looks in question.

*Sam* Dont play dumb everyone writes a note before they do it.... give it to me now!

Jesse slowly reaches into his bag and pulls out a crumpled piece of Scrap paper and Sam rips it out of his hand and opens it.

*Jesse* Sam....dont.

Sam looks it over with anger in his eyes. Suddenly Sam tears the page up.

*Sam* If I ever see this again....ill kick your ass harder then anybody has you understand me?
*Jesse* Y....yes.

Jesse knew now sam really was there to help... the sudden change of heart was Shocking at best but he knew now he'd made a powerful ally.

*Sam* hey.... your a smart kid. Instead of hiding in the library why not meet me and help me study. I could use your smarts there's alot of stuff I haven't been able to find a tutor for.
*Jesse* R...really?
*Sam* Yep

Sam smiles and Jesse blushes bright red and looks away.

Later after class Jesse and Sam hung out on the Bleachers after practice so No one would see them and Jesse was explaining calculus to Sam or at least trying to. While Jesse was talking Sam couldent help but stare at Jesse....he noticed something he Hadent noticed before.....Jesse was beautiful. His long beautiful brown hair and his smooth looking skin. Jesse looked more beautiful then any girl Sam Had been with. Sam takes off Jesse's glasses while he's talking.

*Jesse* Wha ...hey what're doing?

Sam looks into Jesse eyes and his heart pounds. Sam caresses Jesse's cheek with his hand.

*Sam* your eyes.....you have pretty eyes.

Jesse sits still he doesn't believe whays going on and his heart pounds hearing that. He starts to sweat alittle and gets nervous.

*Jesse* S.... Sam? W...w...hat are you saying?

Sudden Sam kisses Jesse on the lips and Jesse's eyes widen in shock and he let's out stilted whimpers.

*Jesse* Mph.....mmffffph!!!!

Jesse break the kiss.

*Jesse* Huff huff....s...SAM!? WHATRE YOU.....
*Sam* .....what.... your cute.

Jesse's face goes completely red and he turns into this nervous babbling idoit.

*Jesse* s...s...Sam....i.....you....c...can't
*Sam* Shuddup nerd hehehe.
