Chapter 1

Coming Home

Gabriela' POV

As I was running in the treadmill, I turned on my tv.

I'm not sure if I saw or heard wrong basta, all I know is that my face is on the floor.

"Zac Ezron and Vannessa Huddgens have been spotted kissing outside a restaurant last night. What is Gabriela Santos' reaction?"

I immediately went out of the gym and got into my car, and drove as fast as I can because there were paparazzi chasing my car. It only takes 10 minutes for me to reach the gym from my apartment but for safety reasons, I take my car and now, my car became totally handy. I quickly called Zac.

"Hello?"

"Where are you?"

"I can explain."

"WHERE ARE YOU?!"

"I'm here at your apartment."

I dropped the call and dialed my manager to cone to my apartment after 30 minutes. Yup, I only need 30 minutes to get the truth from Zac and of course, break up with him.

I know that this will totally be an issue for a month or two but I'm definitely sure that it will be nothing after. I'm just gonna get advice from my manager and do what she says. After all, Harper has been the reason why I am here and why my career is ok — until 10 minutes ago.

I opened the door and saw him in the couch, sitting quietly.

"It's not what you think."

"Is it true?"

"Yes."

I know if Zac is telling the truth and he knows I know so it's kinda good that he confessed right away.

"Let's break up."

"No. Please give me another chance, babe."

"Don't call me babe. It's over between us."

"I'm really sorry babe."

"You know I hate cheaters more than anything right? You broke my trust so get out of my apartment."

"Please forgive me. Give me one more chance."

"Get out or else I'll call security."

He got out. He knew me very well. I mean, we dated for five years so I'm pretty sure he knows when I'm really mad and when I really mean it.

*ding dong*

"The whole world knows the news now."

"What do you suggest I do?"

"Take the time off."

"Where will I go?"

"Back to the Philippines."

"Harper, you can send me anywhere but there."

"It's the only place where I know you'll be safe. Besides, Ingrid is coming with you. After three months, come back and you'll have a fresh start."

This is why I love Harper. She's always concerned about my wellbeing more than anything else. However, her ideas totally contradict mine sometimes. I'm pretty sure if their manager isn't as nice as Harper, they'll definitely have a hard time. Btw, Ingrid is my sweet Fil-Am personal assistant. She goes wherever I go so I'm not surprised.

"Ok, fine I'll go back."

"Good. I'll book the tickets ASAP. Pack all your things. You're leaving 15 hours."

"WHAT?!"

"I'll inform Ingrid about the plan so stay low until you get to the Philippines."

She just left. Yup, she just left after saying that. How does she possibly expect me to pack in just a few hours?! For some people, that might be enough time but for me, it totally isn't.

After 14 hours...

With Ingrid's help, I totally got everything packed. I seriously couldn't have done things without her. She's literally like my arms and legs. As in, LITERALLY.

We just arrived at the airport after all that traffic and my kidney is about to burst now because I have been holding it in for a while now so I rushed to the nearest restroom.

After I relieved myself, I decided to put on my Kylie Liquid Lipstick in the shade Candy K because my lips need color after all that packing.

"Boarding Flight 1626 to Manila, Philippines"

I am soooo not excited to go back home but of course, I'll follow Harper because I believe in her.

After a long, long, long time...

"We have arrived.Thank you for flying with us."
