CHAPTER 16 - SURPRISE

SYAZIAH's P.O.V

" Uwahhh! Did he really buy it for you?" I asks, touching the fluffy cat ears head band on Mizu's head.

She looked extremely happy, when Taeil decided to buy it out of the blue. " He probably thinks you look cute in it and can't help but buy it for you. Nice move sis!" Rahah commented, giving two thumbs up. " It's not like that! I wasn't even trying anything! I just merely asked how it looked like!" She cried.

" Whatever, but it must be nice to have someone to buy something for you especially coming from a guy. " I say, while making smooching sounds.

It was a quiet day at the mall but there were some who took pictures of us from afar. 'NCT spotted going for lunch with Millennium at COEX' would be the typical line going around the social media right now.

Honestly speaking, I'd rather stay at the dorm today but, somehow everyone eagerly wants to go out. Even the boys followed us out.

We stopped at a halt in front of a fancy restaurant, Hansol went to talk with one of the waiters. " Why are we eating here? It's too fancy, don't you think?" I said. " You have no clue, don't you?" Ten asks me back.

" Know what?"

It looks like the boys already booked us a table. Nobody told us they planned for lunch. To be very honest, all I wanted was McDonald's.

The restaurant is very simple but modern. And the lights are quite dim too when we got to the back section. Only blue lights coming from the aquarium seems to be the only light that keeps us from bumping into each other at this hallway. Yes, there's an aquarium. A large one. It takes up all the space of the wall and high up to the ceiling.

This place would be romantic for a date.

I was the last one to enter the private room. Well, all of us are celebrities now. But, it's sad that we have to put our guards up even when we're eating.

The wall of the room was covered with velvety wallpaper with dark red in colour. It gives off that vampire-ish kind of vibe to the atmosphere.

" Wahh, don't you guys think it looks like a vampire dining room?" The curtains are black, hanging by the coloured stain glass window. Fascinating. " Guys?" Nobody answered. " Guys?" I turned around.

The room was empty.

Where did they go? " What is this a hidden camera prank? Stop hiding guys." I say, nonchalantly. Still no one showed up. " Yah! This is not funny!" I exclaimed, almost freaking out.

I can feel the urge to break into tears at that very spot. But before I do, the sound of an opened door coming from behind me and something smelt burnt.

Are we a guest in Running Man without me knowing?

I felt an eerie presence behind me. I slowly turned around to see Yuta? Carrying a cake? " Happy birthday!!!" They shouted, and Johnny pulling the party popper making a loud pop sound.

" So it wasn't Running Man after all...." I muttered to myself. " Wait, it's my birthday?" I asked back. Their happy faces was replaced with a confused expression. " Your birthday is on the 7th, isn't it?"

" Yeah.....?" I replied slowly, why do I sound so unsure? Haha. " That's today." Yuta said.

I checked my watch and yes the date clearly states it's the 7th April today.

" I didn't check the date today." I say guiltily. " What are you waiting for? Blow the candles!" Right. I tuck my hair behind my ears, taking a deep breathe, I blew the candles in the shape of 17 on the cake.
