I was to stunned by the chest I was held to to struggle at first. Huge muscles bulging with a smattering of hair cresting across the top before following a path well below my line of sight. Coming out of my stupor I started to thrash, pushing with all my might to step away from this behemoth. Its arms constricted tighter around me lifting me slightly from the ground to the point it was hard to pull air in. Having no choice but to stop or lose the little air I was capable of pulling into my lungs. The grip around me did not loosen, but continued to hold me tightly. No longer touching the floor I was hefted over its shoulder when it turned to leave my room.

"Put me down!" I yelped as a hand landed on my ass in a swift spanking motion. What in the hell was going on, I have never been spanked in my life. Infuriated beyond belief, there was no pain but just to think that someone would lay a hand on me like that had me fuming. Lashing out with my hands pummeling the thick corded muscled back of the being walking swiftly towards the middle pod. I was thrown down onto the floor, shackles were placed over my wrists down to my waist connecting to my ankles.

There were more beings standing in the room my parents nowhere in sight. No sound could be heard but they seemed to be communicating due to the fact one was nodding its head. Taking in their attire, kilt like sheaths of metal covered them from mid waist to knees. Jesus this was starting to sound like the romance novels my mother read. If she was here she would be swooning, I could almost smile if this wasn't really happening. They all looked the same, bulging muscles kilted metal attire, and cropped black hair highlighting crystal clear eyes. Those eyes made my blood run cold.

Only one time have I heard of while in school were those eyes described, mercenaries from Dulade galaxy.  They were said to be ruthless having never been stopped once set in motion. Always completing a mission no matter the method used. What I didn't understand was why they were here on Chronos 8, there was not many colonists in this part of space. Most of the people that gravitated here were peace lovers not willing to fight when being pushed farther and farther away from civilization near Chronos 1. Not wanting to give up the fight but terrified beyond belief, I lay on the ground waiting for the next course of action.

"You will come with us." I heard stated plainly in my mind before being picked up one more time going straight over the shoulder of one of them. I could not tell if it was the same one they all looked the same.

"Why?" I was not sure if they could understand me if I spoke aloud but it came out before I really thought about it.

"Everyone who used the water this morning was killed due to a bacteria that was let into the water system.  But you did not die." Everyone was dead then. Sobs wracked my body even though my arms were stuck under my waist due to the bonds. The pain was no match for the feelings running through my body. Dead. Everyone I knew is dead. Wait why didn't I die? The pain subsided as the anger washed over me. This is some sick joke, it has to be.

"And pray tell why am I still alive? Is this some sick joke?" I speak between gasps as my balled fists push farther into my guts on each stride.

"We do not know but we will find out." How very ominous.

"How will you find out?"

"We shall hand you over to the Atlantians, they shall test you."

"Atlantians? You mean the Atlantis that was a myth on Earth millions of years ago? Some city under the Atlantic Ocean?" Wow now I know someone is goofing me. I could see my sister paying her friends to pull a stunt like this, if it were not for those eyes. I did not get an answer though.  It slid me off its shoulder into a seat and strapped me in.

I awoke with a gasp. Memories flooding back as a sob escaped me. I would never be able to tell my family I loved them or forgive my sister for being such an ass. I turned my head and tried to wipe my tears on my shoulder without satisfaction due to the straps holding me in and the bonds still on my person.  I didn't remember falling asleep, the last thing I remember is the back of the mercenaries back walking away from me. The ship was eerily silent, I wasn't even sure it was still moving.

Unsure why I awoke I looked around. There were more seats like the one I was in with straps but I was alone. A door straight in front of where I sat was the only exit. Everything was dark grey and dull. My breathing hitched as I felt a vibration from the ship. It passed quickly before another vibration hit making the ship shudder. Suddenly sirens started ripping the silence to shreds as the ship shook violently causing my teeth to chatter. The door slammed open and the mercenary strode toward me quickly.  Unbuckling me and undoing my bonds it pushed me ahead through the door.

"What is going on?" Turning my head to look only to get shoved roughly forward again. Silence answered me back. At first they didn't seem so afraid to speak and now this? Well it is only one question. The mercenary followed closely by directing me through dark tunnels which opened up on another room with seats but at the front was a large window.

"Sit, we arrive shortly" Quickly seating myself the mercenary proceeded to strap me in, this time using a round stone to set a locking mechanism on the harness.  Turning and walking away the window took on a blue hue. Everywhere I looked blue stared back at me. It was beautiful in its own way as it seamed to ripple across the surface. As the ship approached a tunnel appeared, more like a vortex that shapes in the drain when bathing. It could not be water, I have never had the chance to see a body of water, I had nothing to compare this view to.  The blue was clear but had so many different blues and greens mixing in harmony. It is so breathtaking.

The ship entered the vortex heading straight to a landing pad I had not noticed while gazing at the, well I'm not quite sure what it was.  The landing was without fault, in fact if I had not known we were landing it would have came as a surprise.  My curiosity extinguished all other feelings, like fear, for the time being. I was almost so excited to be wary of what might happen to me when I actually got off this ship. Right on cue a mercenary came through the door walking straight at me with the stone to unlock my harness.

"Will you remain able to control yourself?" I nodded not needing the reminder of the bonds. Once again I was forced to walk in front of the mercenary while he guided me from behind.
