Chapter 6

BAEKHYUN POV

I need more milk. How do I always run out of milk!? I grabbed my keys from the bench but put them back as I looked outside, it was a great day, I'll walk.

As I was passing her house I looked over to see if I could see her, but instead I see Chanyeol walk out of her house. I stop and turn towards him,
"Yeol-ie!" I yell and wave at him, he looks shocked but runs over to meet me,

"Getting milk?" He asked with a big smile,
"Yeah, but, why are you coming from ___'s house?" I look over at the house and back at him,
"We met up at the park, she was showing me her photo collection." His smile brightened, she has a collection?
"You like her, don't you?" I sighed,

"Yeah, I do. For years now. Which is why I want you to stay away from her. Every girl ends up liking you. And you already have Taeyeon, you know how she gets when other girls get close to you." He gave me a very stern look, before continuing,
"I don't want her getting hurt," he sighed,
"You can't tell me what to do. I like her a lot. I'm not just going to leave. I can protect her from Taeyeon." I turned and started walking to the store.

YOUR POV

Baekhyun and Chanyeol are both so nice. Why have I judged them so much before I got to know them? Maybe it's because everyone else liked them, so I didn't want to be the same and follow the crowd, but they did block my locker a lot.

I realised I was staring at the picture I took of Chanyeol, I hope he didn't see what I wrote. That would be embarrassing. I want to thank him for being nice to me today. But it would be too weird to text him right now wouldn't it? He only just left.. Maybe I could say safe trip home or something. Ugh why am I stressing over this?

I hope you make it home safe.

I type, I go into contacts to click on his name and realise it says ❤️. Wow did he really save it as that? Send.
I put my phone down and lay on my bed, every day since my birthday has been a good day, but, I feel like something bad is going to happen if I keep being happy like this, I didn't do anything to deserve this happiness, or these friends, I feel like it will all get taken away from me soon.
My phone chimed,

And what if I don't make it home?

To: ❤️
Then I will be sad.

Erase. What am I thinking.

To: ❤️
Where else would you go?

Why is he being so cute all of a sudden? Was he really only cold at school? Is it because people are around...?

Good. Eat something! I don't want you to starve!!!!!

You really care about me, don't you? What will you eat~?

I don't know yet. How about you?

Honestly, I haven't gone shopping so I think I have bread left and that's it but I'm not going to tell him that.

How about I bring over some food? I don't want you to be hungry.

Then I'll probably freeze to death outside your house...

What? Is he outside?
I ran downstairs and opened the door and saw him standing facing away, he turned when he heard the door open,

"Surprise!!!" He said with a big smile on his face, he knows where I live and now he randomly shows up, was it a bad idea to let him know my address? He had already walked into my house so I awkwardly  closed the door, and walked over to him at the dining table.

"I hope you like fried chicken. I didn't know what to bring because I don't know you that well, but chicken is always the best option." He had the brightest smile as he unpacked his bag onto my table,

"Actually I'm a vegetarian." I joked, I tried to stay serious as his face dropped, he looked back at the food,

"Oh. I guess I should have asked you first, I'm so sorry. I.."

He stopped talking as I began to laugh.

"What's so funny?" He said looking over at me,

"I was kidding!" I walked next to him and looked a what he had out already,
"It looks delicious! Thank you!"

"It will be delicious but I'm having second thoughts on if I want to share it with you now," he slightly pushed me away from the table moving things over like he was protecting them.
"You'll have to make it up to me if you want some!" He said smiling as he stood in front of me,

"I really want the chicken, so okay! How can I make it up to you?"

"Kiss me on the cheek!" He said boldly, I could feel my face go red, I had never kissed anyone before, I don't think I can do this, and why would he want that?
He leant down and turned his head so his cheek was facing me, I took a deep breathe and leant in I could feel my cheeks burning, I bet my whole face would be red right now, I'm happy he isn't looking, I was so close to his face and I could see every detail and he was so handsome, no wonder all the girls like EXO... I felt my breathe hit his face and bounce back onto my face... So close.

Knock, knock, knock

I screamed and stumbles backwards tripping over the rug, I closed my eyes, ready for the embrace of the floor but I felt two arms wrap around me and when I opened my eyes Chanyeol was holding me, why does it feel like I'm in a movie,
I couldn't stop staring into his eyes, my heart was beating so fast, was it because I got scared or because he was so close to me?

CHANYEOL POV

Knock knock knock

She tripped backwards and I took a quick step forward and grabbed her so she didn't fall,
I've wanted to be this close to her for so long, could feel my heart beating, I have to do it.
I looked at her lips, and back up at her eyes, I could feel myself inching our faces closer, I couldn't stop thinking about how her lips would feel on mine, I've wanted to do this for so long, and now I've got a chance to.

Her eyes close and I can feel her breath on my face... I start to close the gap more...

Knock knock knock.

She jumps out of my embrace and runs to the door, opening it.
Damn you whoever you are! You ruined my chance! I sigh and go back to unpacking the food. I will kiss you eventually.
