~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One night, Christmas Eve night to be exact, i went to the store for my last gift. My family would be home tonight and i wanted everything perfect. i got out of my car and started to walk inside when i hear a little boy crying. I followed the cries till i found a boy, probably only about 7, crying in a dark alley by himself.
 I looked at the little boy and asked "whats wrong?"
He looked up at me with his big green eyes and said "my mommy and daddy are very sick and the doctors said they wont make through the night. i came here to try and buy them flowers, some white roses for my mom and red tulips for my dad but i got through the line and the guy said i didnt have enough for either."
I couldnt believe what i was hearing. This young boy came here on his own from the hospital, which was like a couple of miles away, to get flowers and didnt have enough money. I held my hand out and he looked up at me confused.
"come on, lets go get those flowers."i told him..
He had a shocked expression on his face and just sat there for a minute. He then stood up and followed me into the store. We walked over and got his flowers and headed for the check out line. We went through and payed for his flowers.
"Thank you so much Sir. My parents are going to love these!!!! I just hope i make it back in time." he said excited
I told him to get in my car and i would drive him to the hospital so he would make it.
When we got to the hospital, he walked into a white room with a couple in both beds. He walked over to the woman and gave her the roses, then walked over to the man and gave him the tulips. They were so happy that he got those flowers for them and with that, i left to head home.
i got home and my wife and kids were already there. I walked in and they came and greeted me. That night i just kept thinking about that little boy and his parents.
The next morning, i went out to get things for dinner. i found that little boy again, but this time crying in a cemetary. i stopped and looked at the headstone he was staring at. They read both of his parents names. i couldnt help but feel sorry for him. he looked at me with those eyes again and said "your the nice man that got the flowers for me."
"yes i am' i replied. I looked and saw that in his hand he held multiple things. He held both bunches of flowers, a picture of both of his parents, and a single red rose he got from a garden. he walked up to the head stones and placed the flowers in the flower holders. He then layed the single red rose between the two headstones, looked at the picture of his parents and repeted, "Mommy, Daddy, if you can hear me, i love you."
After that i had to do something. I couldnt leave him alone on Christmas day. So, i asked him if he wanted to join me and my family for Christmas. He looked at me and asked if i was sure its ok. i told him its fine, my family wont mind.
i took himn home with me after i got the stuff for dinner i needed to get. i walk in with him behind me and my wife gave me a look. i sent him to play with the kids and told my wife everything. She was about to cry when she said, we need to make this a great christmas for him. We had dinner and opened presents and treated him like he was family. The kids enjoyed having him around and right before we sent the kids to bed, he looked at me one last time and said" Sir, Thank you for everything." He then looked up and said again "Mommy, Daddy, I love you"
