I'll probably just write the next chapter anyway, but if no ones reading this I wont post it sooooo yeah. BYEEEE!!! xx

A small sigh, drifted into the crisp December air in a puff of steam.

Tiny white flakes slowly fell from the dark sky and flew off into the light windchill, creating shadows in the snowbanks as they danced past the streetlights.

The city was dressed in bright rainbow lights and coated in a fluffy white blanket.

It felt cold to the flesh, yet warm to the heart - Christmas. One of your favourite times of the year.

You stood on the sidewalk, taking a moment to admire the scenery. Christmas in Manhattan was by far the best in your opinion.

After feeling satisfied enough, you continued your walk.

Your footsteps created crunching sounds in the snow while snowflakes landed on your glasses, slightly blocking your vision.

The pockets in your jacket hid your hands from the cold as you made your way to one of your favourite stores.

Once having reached Chapters, you flew through the doors feeling the rush of warm air hitting your enitre body.

You could hear the sounds of people talking and ordering coffee at the little Starbucks cafe in the corner of the store - it always smelled like fresh brewed coffee in here which you loved.

It was much more busy at this time of the year. You began browsing through the isles before making a bee-line towards the 'Technology' section.

You absolutely loved computers and were an incredible hacker having being only 16.

Coding was also one of your favourite hobbies which most people didn't really seem to give a shit about.

You've been working with computers for a long time including taking them apart to see how they work and figuring out how to put them back together again.

Saying this was a hobby was an understatement to you - more like a lifestyle.

While searching through the selection of books, you heard grunting from the 'Popular Reads' section, 2 isles down.

Looking over, you saw a boy around your age wearing hipster glasses and black skinnies with a purple and blue scarf draped over his black buttoned down jacket.

His hair was chocolate brown except for his platinum blonde bangs, styled to perfection. He was currently on his tippy toes, reaching for a book on the top shelf.

You smirked and walked over to the hipster boy.

"Need any help?" You asked, giving the most smug look possible. The boy turned his head to look at you and scowled looking offended by your offer.

"I'm fine, thank you." He spat, then went back to reaching for the book that might as well have been 20 feet away, grunting and screeching in plea that his hands might clasp around it's edges.

It was when he started to jump for the book that you butt in.

"Hey, I said I don't need your..." cutting him off, you snatched the book without so much as a stretch. "help...".

His face looked sullen and defeated. You smirked, taking a second to look down at the book this guy had wanted so much.

"Harry Potter? This stuff is for nerds." you chuckled. The boy quickly snatched the book from your hands and crossed his arms in defense, turning up his lip.

"It is not. It is the best novel anyone could ever buy which I could've gotten myself." he shot back, quickly catching a glance at the book you had in your current possession.

"What is that you're holdin' anyway? A book on computers? And you're callin' me a nerd." he smirked back at you. You let out an exhausted sigh.

"Ok ok, fine. I guess i'm not really the one to be talking anyway." you replied.

You kinda felt that this conversation was heading into awkward territory so you decided to break it off.

"Well, I should probably get going. Got things to do. See ya around." And with that, you spun on your heel and started towards the checkout desk, books in hand.

"Wait!". Hearing the boy call out, you turned around again to see him staring at his feet, fiddling with his scarf.

For some reason he looked a bit sheepish. You raised an eyebrow, and then he spoke.

"Would you want to...get a coffee...with me?" he looked up slightly, his eyes pleading and hopeful. A warm smile spread across your face.

"Sure." you replied. The boys face lit up with joy, and soon he was skipping along beside you towards the cafe line up.

You ordered a simple hot chocolate while he decided on a Caffe French Vanilla. Man, this guy is a piece of work.

When your orders were served, he was already digging through his pockets, but you insisted on paying. He looked a bit shocked before a slight blush tainted his cheeks.

"Thanks", he said when you both sat down. You shrugged it off, saying it was no problem.

You sat at the table nearest to the window, watching the snowflakes fall.

A dim light hung above the table, defining the boys features ever so perfectly, and a flutter erupt in your chest.

You let out a heavy sigh, knowing that you were officially screwed.

"So what's your name, wizard boy?" you asked, taking a sip of your hot chocolate.

"Eridan. Eridan Ampora." he said nonchalantly. Holding out your hand, you said,

"Nice to meet you ED. I'm Sollux. Sollux Captor." Eridan smiled and took your hand. His touch sent tingles down your spine.

The rest of the evening was spent talking about mainly each other. You learned that Eridan was probably the most arrogant person you've ever met which reminded you of your full blown ego.

When you asked him what his interests were, all he did was go on about fashion and wizards which bored you to tears. Although you did share some of the same musical tastes.

Some of them.

"Ed Sheeran is one of the best artists i've ever heard. His lyrics are so poetic." Eridan said, pretending to swoon.

"Isn't that shit for girls?" you protested. He looked appalled at your remark.

"Someone isn't very in touch with their femininity." You rolled your eyes.

"Obviously not." you mumbled, glaring up from the edge of your cup. He asked you what your interests were, and you started talking about video games and computer crap, which he didn't seem to care about.

When you brought up some video games he looked confused, so you promised to introduce them to him the next time you met up.

You eyed your watch, realizing it was 9:00. You cursed under your breath.

"Here." you said, writing down your number on a napkin for him to contact you.

"It's a date then." Eridan chimed. You simply nodded, waving him off before starting your walk home, smiling the whole way there.

When you arrived home, you flopped down on your bed, dreaming about when you'd see the cute wizard boy again.

You've reached the end of published parts.
