chapter 9

Our waiter sat us down at a booth near the middle of the café. "Hi I'm Chandler and I'll be your waiter for today. What can I get you too to drink?" he said handing us our menus. "I'll just have a water" I spoke scanning the menu, "Yeah I'll have one as well" Brandon said. The waiter left, leaving us there to talk. "So I'm going to see if there is any open spots here" I said quietly "Really? that's cool. After we eat I want to hit up some more music stores" he said. "Were gonna have one fun filled day" I said with a smirk, Brandon let out a small laugh "yeah we are". When the waiter comes back with our drinks, I found the courage to ask.

"Um I was wondering if you guys have any open job opportunities that are open?" I said in a sweet tone. "Um I'm not sure but I'll get the manager. So are you guys ready to order?" he said. "Um yeah I'll have a cheeseburger with fries" Brandon said "I'll have the Cesar salad with ranch dressing" I said handing him my menu.

"I was thinking" Brandon started "what were you possibly thinking" I said sarcastically with a grin. "someone is a little sarcastic today huh?" he laughed, I rolled my eyes "yeah yeah keep going" I said. "yeah I was thinking that we could buy a prepaid cell phone. You know, to call back home" he said scratching his neck. "Wait. Can't they track us if we have one?" I said with a worried tone. "No no. they don't have the GPS tracking device so they won't be able to track us" he said grabbing my hand instantly relaxing me. I nodded my head reassuring his idea was okay.

After I talked to the manager, he handed me my application and said to give it back by the following Monday. Our food arrived shortly after and we dug in. "so yeah let's get a phone because I miss them so much" I said taking a sip of water. "yeah me too. a lot" he said closing his eyes, I got up from my seat and scootched over to his side. "Everything will be okay I promise" I said hugging him "I know I know. its just I don't know. let's get out of here I'm tired" he said kissing my cheek. I smiled and agreed. We soon got our check and paid then left back to the hotel.
