So the cat here has been telling me that I have been working too hard. He almost sits on the laptop. Song for the chapter is Ludovico Einaudi Nurvole Blanche. Just go ahead and play it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jake
When I woke up five o clock in the morning it was Danny knocking at my window that looked out to the north.
Should I be disturbed or delighted?
I went with delight as I immediately went wide awake and with a two second delay in excitement to open the screen window. Danny Skye came to my window at the crack of dawn. Usually I thought a love interest would come at night. I had to remind myself of why I loved reality so much more than a book.
I put two and two together of what Charles was really saying to me earlier.
I kissed Danny on the cheek again as I let him also sent a silent thank you to everyone that made this happen. Danny turned a slight shade of red with a lopsided grin as he got both feet inside. He hoped down to the balls of his heels silently.
How do I check for morning breath without him noticing?
“Be right back,” I told him and scrambled out his face looked naturally understanding.
Both my parents would be asleep for another two hours. I rinsed my mouth thoroughly with mouth wash and I looked really pale. Well I was no prince charming at the wee hours of the morning. Danny was the real prince charming because he certainly looked the part. Then I brushed, flossed, brushed again, mouth washed again, threw warm water over my face which I rarely ever did, and did a few jumping jacks to perk myself up.
I kept myself in stealth mode when I crept past my parents room.
Holy shit there was a hot guy in my room!
Thank goodness my room was clean in result of my punishment. Danny was in jogging gear so that showed he was well developed. His abs were better than mine! He looked good without the sweat. So he must do morning runs or at least today he was. He was in my computer chair and I kind of wished he was on my bed.
“Sorry for the surprise visit,” his words kind of got lost in the sentence like he wanted to say more.
“No I’m glad you came,” I almost said too loudly.
“Your people contacted my people,” he said almost sluggishly grinning, “said that would cheer you up because you’d been pretty down.”
“And I really have to thank them all for that,” I think my eyes glazed over emotionally and Danny noticed. He started to get up. To do what I didn’t know. My hands automatically did stuff to say he shouldn’t have to worry about it. I was just really happy.
He didn’t ask me how I had been which would have been tacky to do so. He knew pretty much all the right things to do and not to do so far. The back of my mind told me that he is a keeper.
“Library get anything new?” I asked lamely, I mean what do we talk about in situations like this. This never happened to me before!
His face registered what I meant, “Our relationship may have gotten a little distant for now but she’ll come around.”
“I really didn’t want to get you into trouble,” I said still standing, more like I had a floating kind of feeling inside, “I can be a bad influence.” At that I made a face that made him laugh.
